Our first time here & we dined in. Went on a Sunday afternoon, about 2 hours before closing (they close at 3pm on Sundays). It was a bit slow for service, only had 1 person up front running things but she was incredibly kind & helpful. The food was delicious, worth the wait. A ton of spice & flavor but not too hot. I got the Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich with fries. The sandwich was so HUGE & juicy, flavorful, tender. I would definitely eat it again. My fiancé got the tenders & they were just as good! He got Mild flavor & I opted for Hot. Hot wasn’t really too spicy, but just right! If you like Nashville Hot flavor, you’ll love their chicken. We also got banana pudding & it was delicious! Only reason for the 4 star rating is the price. It was almost $50 for us to get a Chicken sandwich, tenders, fries, tea & very very small portion of dessert for the price ($5.50). Drinks aren’t included which is silly, considering the food is going to make you thirsty haha. I don’t know if we will come back due to the price, but definitely worth the experience! I’d recommend trying them at least once. Great ambiance inside the restaurant & they have outdoor seating as well!
I love Bold Birds. Best Nashville Hot chicken I can find since I don’t have a Hattie B’s close by. Beware, “hotter than a mother clucker” is very spicy. The food is delicious. I always get the hottest chicken sandwich. They serve a variety of beers and are in a neighborhood with surrounding bars. 10/10 recommend!
Hot Chicken here is pretty good, freshly cooked and spicy! The spice level on the menu is pretty honest, so if you like hot.. get hot. But what surprised me the most during my visit today was the young staff.
It's noticeably difficult to go to restaurants with young workers that take pride in their jobs and making guests feel welcomed. And that was just the case today! The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and stopped by tables to ensure everyone had what they needed. This is the key loyal customers in an overcrowded food scene. Good job!
I like the chicken flavor wise and everything, but it’s the spice that isn’t there. I couldn’t get a snout or a tear coming and the spice was mediocre. The fact that I got the flavor “Hotter Than a Mother Clucker” excites me and after that first bite and all of that, I got no spice. (Spice is very important when it comes to Nashville Hot Chicken).
Our first time coming here and we will absolutely be back!! The chicken is cooked to order so it takes about 10 minutes but it's so hot and juicy. Worth the wait!!♥️. The chicken can be ordered at different heat levels. I had medium heat and it was perfect. The chicken had a nice crispy exterior and was so delicious ???? Our son ordered the chicken sandwich and it was the same delicious chicken on a fresh bun. It came with a side and he chose fries. He said it was awesome! My husband and I ordered 1/4 a chicken and paid $4 to upgrade to the loaded fries. Oh My Goodness!! The loaded fries can be a huge meal all by themselves. Fresh crispy fries topped with chicken, slaw, and pickles. YUMMY ???? ???? The building looks like it's a restored historic brick building with high ceilings and paintings on the walls. I love the Mother Clucker chicken on the wall. There's TV's to watch, too. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly. Refill your own drinks at the soda fountain or enjoy some brewed tea. They also have water. Five⭐ and I can't wait to go back!!
Superb food. Ordered the 3 piece tender entree. Some of the best tenders I've ever had and I've had a lot of tenders. Huge, hand breaded, well sauced, incredibly juicy. Fries were crinkle cut, plentiful, and cooked well. Comeback sauce was the perfect dipping sauce for my meal. Homemade and very good. First time having Nashville style chicken, comes on a piece of white bread which was a really nice touch. Soaks up all the sauce and is a tasty addition when you finally reach it. Pickles were also great.

The food here was really great! The chicken is so crispy and delicious! The loaded fries were AMAZING! The macaroni and cheese was basic, but not bad.
I had no problem with the food or our experience at the register or with the person who brought our food out, that was absolutely fine. After I finished my meal, I had gone to the restroom. The restroom was clean- no issues there. I may have taken a few minutes in the restroom. I was in there for 5 minutes, according to my partner.
As I was finishing up, someone began aggressively pounding on the bathroom door. This was not a knock, as the person on the other side was clearly banging on it.
There were roughly five loud bangs and then the door immediately unlocked from the other side.
I, with my pants still down, jumped to the door to lock it and say, “someone is in here.” It felt somewhat humiliating and violating that after being there for only a few minutes, someone would attempt to unlock the door and walk in on me while I was using the restroom. My thoughts are that this was an employee, as a customer wouldn’t have a key to attempt to unlock the restroom door.
I’m not sure if this would keep me from visiting again, but it was not a great first experience. I was so uncomfortable that I came out of the restroom and waited outside for my partner to finish up.
This place is awesome, the food must be cooked to order, cause the chicken was super juicy, amazing seasonings, the cheese fries are great, the service was good and the atmosphere is just a nice bright environment. Definitely a place to check out.
