Great experience, lots of atmosphere, friendly customers round the central bar, large selection of reasonably priced drinks. The barman who is also the waiter was very busy but found the time to help us have a night out like a local. They prepared off the menu zucchini for me as I didn't want fries. Our casual dinner was excellent for the price. They should be proud of the fish and chips, which is a star on the menu. Its not fine dining but it looks like everyone was having a fine time.
The seafood platter is as good as any place on Cape Cod.But, it's only 23.00 as opposed to 35.00 as most placed. My wife and I split it. The scallops were excellent. They have the 9.00 fish and chips, which you can't beat.The batter on the seafood is light. Which is how my wife and I like it. This is a very small establishment. The interior is more of a dive bar, with only a few tables for actually eating inside. They do have outside dining, but of course, that's dependent on the weather. The bar tender is a great guy. This is a local hangout. But, you can always get to go. For the price and quality of the seafood you can't beat this place. We went there on a nice day and sat outside. I will definitely be back there a few times this summer. We were only here for the seafood platter. But, from the quality of the food, I wouldn't hesitate to order anything else. Stay thirsty, my friends;
You can't beat the prices, and the portion sizes are perfect, but the clams are a little over battered for my taste. The scallops, shrimp, and fish were very good. It's basically a bar with food service, so don't expect much ambiance. Next time, I would go in the warmer weather to take advantage of the picnic tables outside.
Small place but worth the wait. Friendly staff and customers. I went specifically for the fish and chips. It did not disappoint! Can’t beat $9 for a delicious meal. We had 2 orders of fish and chips, a Pepsi and a DIPA and the total was only $24 and some change. Will definitely be back next time we are visiting!
Great lil local spot. Not a huge fan of fried food but it was still great. Service was fantastic. Definitely a local vibe, would be a hit all over if only it was bigger and could accommodate the business. Stop in if you get a chance... Definitely worth the trip.
The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent with very large quantity. I only ended up eating about half of my plate. This place was as good as all the other people have raved about.
Good, affordable fresh seafood. Small place, very intimate. The Mousse cake was worth every penny.
The whaleback restaurant ads kept popping up on my Facebook I was determined to check it out. April 18, 2024 I drove down early morning from Bellingham mass. The food, service, and atmosphere made it worth my while. I got this great shot of the Sagamore Bridge on the way down. I will return for sure.
