I come here for the biscuits and gravy. I also like the home fries. They used to come together but i guess the menu has changed. It's fine. Good was good. Service was good. It was clean in there and pretty quiet.
Have been to the New Castle Bob Evans about 5xs. Only the breakfast time was a bad experience with the food tasting rubbery, bland no flavor and French toast had to be sent back to finish cooking. Waitresses always were prompt and did their jobs well. Today for late lunch (1:20) had to wait 10 mins to be seated, only one waitress taking care of 12+ tables. Management was not prompt to assist her, food tasted amazing and $35 for 2 meals with dessert and side salad so cheaper than most other places, however portion sizes are smaller. Lunch and dinner always tastes the way it should but I will never go back in morning or order breakfast. Even though the area was full, it has pleasant atmosphere. I know their always hiring but we felt so bad for the 1 waitress doing all the work while several others finished their shift and left.
I normally have a good experience at Bob Evens, but not today. Reasons:
1. Runny eggs
2. Pancakes were getting stiff in parts, like they had been sitting around for a while.
3. My wife's toast had big gobs of slimy butter on them
4. I mentioned my bad experience to the cashier as a way of constructive criticism. No real response.
This bad experience happened at 11:30 am 1 Mar 2024.
Hopefully, someone at Bob Evans will read this and take action to correct this from happening again. I was going to give a 3 star review as I have enjoyed Bob Evans in the past. However, I gave a 1 star rating as my stomach, an hour later, does not feel good.
We took are family to have breakfast, the waitress was over the top fun friendly and most of all on top of our drinks big plus for me, the food was delicious hats off to the cooks, don’t hesitate to eat there you will leave with a smile on your face and a full stomach. ????????????????????????
If I could of gave no stars I would of. This place is absolutely the worst place when it comes to dirtyness. When in ar 8:30 am to have breakfast with my wife and there was food with mold under my table. I told the server and she got smart with us saying she's just the server she don't have to vacuum she would get the manager. We just walked out. Ain't nobody can tell me it make an excuse for moldy food under a table first thing in the morning. Absolutely gross. I will never go back to this place and if anyone cares about there health they won't either.
What a relaxing and good meal! I had one of their lunch deals - chicken salad and a BLT. It was very tasty and a good portion. The waitress was very attentive. I was dining alone and enjoyed my meal as I read. I will certainly return again!!
Was home making Christmas goodies and the last thing we wanted to do was cook dinner, so we decided on Bob Evans for dinner. Was a great choice. The boneless Southern-fried chicken was moist and juicy with a crust that was perfect. As always, we had their homemade coleslaw and its excellent. Mashed potatoes and gravy were homemade and perfect. The dinner rolls were right out of the oven and fragrant yeast smell and taste. The Mocha Caramel hot chocolate with whipped cream was delicious ... I had to order a second cup. Servers and wait staff were so friendly and food came out in a timely manner.
Food is great an such buy while conducting an interview there is a difference between professional an personal questions for example when asking if u have a reliable means of transportation is acceptable but questioning if that mean if u have a license an how they would go to work is not management defently needs more edict an also needs to learn to be more professional an not force there own agendas or believes on any applicants but other than that food is great ????
