A change in management has been made here because everything was exceptional. Bonnie the manager came to our table and checked to see how everything was. We could hear her in the back using restaurant slang regarding the total number of orders needed. Staff was helpful and attentive and food was excellent. We have a Bob Evans in our neighborhood but this one will be our preferred location.
We walked in and no greeted us. Just looking around and laughing. Then they finally sit us down, took almost 10 minutes before our server came to take our order. Food wasn’t even hot but I was so hungry.
Would not recommend this location at all!
From the time we walked in the customer service from everyone was incredible. Our server, I wish I recalled her name, she was amazing, fast, and all around great personality. The manager ever came walking around and she was so nice as well. She wasn't just doing it to be seen, and pretend she cared, she walked around stopped, asked how we were, and thanked us for coming in. Excellent food and excellent staff. If you've eaten here before and had subpar service I would definitely give it another chance!
They were quick about getting us to our table but we waited like 20 minutes for someone to finally come over to take our order. We came at 2pm and there was only three cars there so it wasn't busy. Then it took them an hour to bring us our food and some of ours was cold, they messed up two of our orders and rest just was either to hard to eat or not cooked right.
Initially when I walked no one was at the kiosk. And everyone was yelling from behind the the counter. I thought that was really bizarre. The waitress "Nicole" came and got me seated. She was pleasant. No complaints there. One of the managers I knew came out to see how I was liking my service so far. Then there seemed to be some kind of weird exchange between another manager who brought my food hot and delicious. The steak tip omelet with loaded mash potatoes were delicious. Overall experience o.k. atmosphere was just a little strange.
Dropped in here this morning while doing a little bit of business and this is right at the edge of Main Street and Highway 270 and East Columbus. This little cultural melting spot it’s very convenient as you’re right they’re too big main intersection pretty easy to get to and very noticeable.
What I noticed as I Walked by the other tables that the food really did look as good as any picture or advertisement you would see in a commercial. In fact when our food came it looks wonderful and it was very delicious. I would highly recommend their blue ribbon bacon basket covered in maple syrup it was fantastic and directly out of flavor town. Now if you’re watching your sugars, that blue ribbon bacon basket is getting not gonna be for you because it’s it’s at the top end of Almost too sweet but yet delicious.
Oh and all the food look delicious it’s the standard Bob Evans you come to expect and the only downside was that staff really wasn’t very friendly. The hostess was bubbly and very outgoing which is what you want but the serving staff in the checkout staff not so much I would suspect it’s really hard to get a smile out of them or hello unless you initiate the conversation which is sadly not but I want and a waitress waiter server.
All in all I’d give it a good solid one single thumbs up and I would recommend it but you won’t see me back here again cause I’m gonna try other venues that I feel more comfortable and welcome at.
This was probably the nicest Bob Evans I have been in a long time. I have great memories of going down to the original farm as a kid so it's always part of my heart. This place made me feel that way. To have the manager out on the floor talking to us was nice.. Thank you all the crew at this time and restaurant.
This review is about a week overdue but still fresh in my memory. I called to place a carry out order. I was placed on hold for quite some time but once my call was received, I heard a cough and a hang up. When I called back and explained what just happened, instead of a, “Sorry for your experience”, she insisted she kept saying hello but I couldn’t hear her. After going back and forth I finally just said can I place a togo order? When I arrived, I patiently waited at the checkout. I was greeted by Carla who apologized for my wait and was very friendly. Without going into detail, she immediately apologized for my phone experience and made everything right. Unbelievably, the person I was on the phone with realized I was the one on the phone w/her and she too apologized. Had I just received the apology over the phone, I would have thought nothing more of it and I explained that to her as well. We left in a good place and I will return as my grandmother loves their turkey dinners and it’s close by. Thank you again Carla for your understanding of customer service!
