I went to Bob Evans for the first time, and it was great! It felt very homey, and the waitress we had was so sweet. I just got the classic breakfast and coffee, and I really liked that it came with your choice of bread. I got the banana nut bread. It was so good!! We'll definitely be coming back regularly now!
Bob Evans is my favorite place! My kids switch up what they get. I always get the deep dish chicken noodle. Typically this is made with an open biscuit, mashed potatoes on top then everything smothered in chicken and noodles. This was not made that way. Beyond that, the chicken and noodles were dry and flavorless. Kids loved their meals though!
Got their soup for breakfast bc it looked good on the menu. This is what I got. It was a delivery order so I don't expect it to be fresh but this is just mush.
Food was absolutely terrible. I ordered breakfast curbside for my family of. 3. I live 5 min down the road, my food was cold. My home fries were not cooked all the way. Pancakes tasted like were just re warmed in the microwave. The meat was cold. My child who eats literally everything took two bites and was done. It was a total waste of $40. Only good thing was the curbside lady came out instantly when I arrived.
UPDATED 2/1/24. Since I can’t make another review. So I was issued a gift card of $20 by Bob Evan’s. Decided to try them out again with my son. This time we eat inside, the server and host was great. The food was still disgusting and then it is time to pay. I provide the lovely host Gaven my gift card and he is unable to get it to work. Gaven tries a numerous amount of times before asking for help. The manager James who was outside ignored Gaven who had a line of customers waiting to check but was held up by me due to the card issued by Bob Evan’s didn’t work. James finally decides to help Gaven and couldn’t get it to work. So now I had to pay YET again for a disgusting meal. So now out of $62 dollars thanks to this lovely establishment. I do appreciate the wait staff Gaven, the lady who had the pink book and our server not sure of her name. I definitely will not return to a Bob Evan’s ever again.
My wife and I don't get out just the two of us much so when we do we just enjoy a pleasant place with great service and great food. Bob Evans nailed all three. Thank you so much for a great place to take my wife on a nice lunch date.
I ordered the 2 biscuit sandwich breakfast. When it arrived at the table one biscuit was totally broken apart into 3 pieces. Both sandwiches were put together very sloppy. I wouldn't have sent it out that way. You're supposed to be able to dip them in the bowl of gravy, but they were impossible to pick up due to how broken up biscuits were. It didn't look good and wasn't plated well at all, but tasted okay. There was only one other table of customers so it's not like they were busy or needed to hurry. I won't order that item again!
Food is hit-or-miss depending on the cook.. the service is always slow. You'll be seated right away because there's never a wait. That speaks volumes in itself. I am working out of town, and it is the closest restaurant with no other options besides fast food close by, which is the only reason I have returned. On the last visit I had, the manager scolded an employee that was at the register from across the room. Not very professional at all.
I haven't had Bob Evans in many years. We were expecting a watered down version of what we remember from childhood memories. We couldn't have been more wrong. The staff was incredible, and our breakfasts were what you would hope for.
The dining and server areas were clean and the kitchen appeared the same.
