Nice place to grab a bite to eat or try a cold adult beverage. They offer smoked ribs, brisket and wings that are cooked in a huge smoker out back and quite a variety of speciality drinks including a Boar’s Drool Derailer, a Spirit Lake Colada or the Feisty Cucumber while you can enjoy a fantastic view of Spirit Lake from the deck. Small beach and dock right out front. Really enjoyed my stop here on a sunny afternoon.
This place is surely a hidden gem! I love this place so much! The food is 5 stars on it's own. The people are truly amazing as well! If you can make the trip come to this place and try anything on the menu and be prepared to be blown away. I wish I could give 10 stars.
If there's room to sit on the deck the ambiance is lovely, if not, it definitely lacks (I'm not opposed to a standard dead animal bar motif, but broken, disassembled booths leave something to be desired). This is a meat-eaters delight and the smell of the smoker at work outside will draw you in, but for those of us who don't prefer piles of beef and pork (or the alligator), the pickings were a little slim. The wings appetizer seems to be the only chicken they are smoking, and they were tasty, but the BBQ sauce was on so thickly we could barely taste the smoked chicken. They allowed us to substitute chicken for the pork that usually comes on the nachos and these were quite crispy (no soggy nachos here!), though the salsa was straight out of a jar. We rounded out our appetizer dinner with an order of fries, which were thick and crispy and disappeared quickly. The menu also includes burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, pizzas, and tri tip.
This place has the best BBQ pizza. The service was very slow and they could be a lot more attentive to customers and their needs. They had live music and a patio right next to the lake. Good for a place to wind down, eat some food drink a beer and watch the sun go down. Kids are also welcome.
Wonderful view of Spirit Lake. Waitstaff were pretty swamped when I went in on a Sunday evening, but they were pleasant as could be. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich with coleslaw and a boozy root beer drink. Set me back $21, which is a little above average for this type of meal, but it's a resort town, so what do you expect? The sandwich meat was perfectly tender and smoked, and the slaw was fresh, and not too sweet. I would come again.
Randomly stopped in after a day at Silverwood. It was so good- a hidden surprise right on the water! We tried the fried that they're "known for" and they did not disappoint! The pulled pork nachos were delicious and the pizza, amazing too! We were impressed & that doesn't come easily dining out. We'll be back!
Must go to spot!!! It's a slight detour from I90 but totally worth it! This place is so cute, it's nestled against the lake and inside of an RV park. It has wide open inside seating and nice spacious outdoor seating. The grounds look like a great place to RV with boat dock and people came up in their boats to come to the restaurant. We were surprised to see they had alligator on the menu so we definitely ordered that, pulled pork nachos, smoked ribs and their signature pulled pork pizza. EVERYTHING tasted AWESOME!! The drinks were strong, the ribs were thick and juicy and perfectly smoked!! The pulled pork nachos had fresh homemade chips, tons of cheese and came with salsa, guacamole and sour cream without being asked for it!!! The alligator had a great batter and was fried perfect so it wasn't overly chewy and still juicy. And then the pizza.... Oh my goodness!!! The pizza was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was just as good as the toppings... The pulled pork was perfect, the cheese was sooooo cheesey and BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering at all!! It was served with Cole slaw on the side and it was a nice combined even though I'm not a fan of Cole slaw. Everything, (with exception to the pizza), was served in a paper boat, with plastic silverware and paper plates and drinks in plastic cups. Not sure if this was due to COVID or not but it fit perfectly with the "camping" vibe. Wait staff was friendly and prompt and smiling. We felt welcome and had a great time.
Great food and service! Had some pulled pork tacos that were awesome. Beer and liquor here. Sat outside on the deck right off the water and listened to a live band. Great venue, I'll be back.
