Best WLM Reviews

Seriously the best hole in the wall Chinese food place in St. Louis. Their hot braised chicken is TO DIE FOR! Great fried rice! So good. I don't even live in the area anymore, but any time I go out that way, I love to stop by for lunch or dinner! Absolutely cannot recommend enough! The owners are also so sweet!
Tonight Our Food was outta this world tasty!
We had the Curry Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Won Ton Soup and savored every bite. We get to go orders at least once a Month from here and have not been disappointed.
First 3 menus on google maps for this place are incorrect. Combination plates are now $9.95 which menu states you get 1 eggroll and pork fried rice. Other prices are also up to $2 higher.
It was our first time at Bo Fung, our usual place was closed on Sunday.
First thing we asked was if we could get crab rangoon, instead of an eggroll. Yes, the employee said. My husband asked how many, he stated two. Great, we thought, just like our usual place.
Drove home with our takeout. Excited to try a new place that we had heard was SO GOOD. Opened up our boxes to a scoop of plain white rice, no pork fried rice. I called the restaurant and was told that because we subbed rangoon for the eggroll, that changed our pork fried rice to plain rice. What??? Really?? Why weren’t we told that??
The employee did offer an order of free rangoon if we wanted to drive back. A half hour to drive to and from? Nope. No thanks. Wanted to try this delicious food while it was still warm. Only to find out, our usual spot is much, much better
Food order was easy and ready really fast for takeout. Make sure you ask for a receipt if you need one, as my order didn't come with one.
Food was really salty. I like salt, but even this was a little too much. I guess this is just a taste preference though.
Not going lie, they handed & charged me for the wrong order and then I had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my order. All that said, when I got home my order was perfect and the quality of the food was outstanding! Well worth the money and the wait! I will not be ordering takeout anywhere else.
I really wanted to like this place. It's hard to find good Canton-style sweet & sour, so we tried it. The clerk was nice, the place seemed ok, but the food was bland or worse - hopefully it was just a bad day, but I don’t think so. We spent a hundred dollars on various dishes, and the only one that was good was the crab Rangoon, which for all I know came from a bag.
The entrées were tasteless.
The *worst* was the wonton soup - thin noodles, twisted, not folded - see photo. The filling was *crunchy*, like undercooked rice, and not particularly tasty.
For the record, I ate every bite of the wonton soup the next day for my lunch, because it was all I brought, so it wasn't inedible, but regretfully, I can't recommend it.
My go-to carry-out Chinese joint. Pork lo mein, potstickers, and crab Rangoon are all solid. Plus, you get a free order of crab Rangoon once you spend $20. Just FYI because for years we were getting a double order and not realizing it...
Staff is friendly. The venue is a bit dingy, but that may be partly due to the lighting. I have never seen anyone eating in, but I am usually only in there to pick up after 8ish. Parking can be a challenge due to them being right on Gravois.
Horrible service. Was told I was wrong when there was a missing entree. Will never order from them again. The guy was so rude and told me to blame door dash. Was on "hold" for 15 minutes before hanging up. The man was so aggressive so paid for an entree that wasn't delivered and told I was lying!! Feel like I should sue them for money undeserved. $80. They are all so bitter. The restaurant itself is super dirty. Rather make my own food.
