Always action. Be prepared to park and walk the viaduct. No parking or stopping. I had a motorcycle and could pull in to gaps. BNSF main shops in Topeka. UP yards nearby.
I worked for Santa Fe in the Systems shop as an Electronics TroubleShooter.. left 1990.. . The shop was just under the 635 bridge,after it was moved from Topeka...
This is where is show up and go to work throughout the week. It is private property and not really a place to visit.
BNSF Railway is the best thing about this yard because of what they do
