Best WLM Reviews
This was our first time today trying this fabulous restaurant out and it definitely won't be our last. Everything we had was phenomenal including the best service we've ever experienced. Our waitress was Wendy and she took the best care of us from beginning to end and was as sweet as can be. Our bartender Hailey, daytime bartender was amazing delivering the best bloody Mary ever. We had the Surf and Turf and all you can eat shrimp and it was so fresh and huge and the veggies were are fire!! We are going to be regulars for sure!!! Amazing!! Best seafood in this area and honestly anywhere we've ever tried and that's a lot!!
One of our favorite features of this restaurant is the full view kitchen. One has a full view of the prep and cooking area from the main dining room.
We had 7:30 reservations and the host was going to seat us right next to the check-in station when there were other tables available.
When I asked if there were other seating option available I was told they do not take table requests on Valentine’s Day. I pointed out that there were other open tables. The host seated us one table away in an area that was still close to the hostess station. I noted the couple behind us us was seated at a booth in the main dining room.
We were not able to enjoy the full view kitchen due to being seated in the area partitioned off from the main dining area.
Menus included drink specials, Valentines Day specials and a variety of wines and beers.
Drinks and appetizers were served promptly. The octopus was a surprise on the special Valentines Day menu as it was no longer on the regular menu.
The pork chop was a generous portion and very well prepared. The paella was smaller than expected and lukewarm to cold. Thus the 4 star rating. The check was adjusted because of this. The wait staff was very apologetic and offered different options.
The atmosphere is high energy. Although it was a different dining experience then we had a year ago, I would give them another try.
Food was fantastic! Definitely recommend steamed seafood combo, cowboy ribeye, land and sea, crab dip, poke tuna and seafood mushrooms. The Bluwave punch was great too. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is because of the service. Our waitress was not friendly, almost seemed mad and you could tell she didn’t want to be there. She would disappear for long periods of time leaving people without drinks. But despite the service we will be back because the food was just that great. I’m hopeful to have better service experience on the next visit so I can then give 5 stars
So for background purposes, my wife and I own and run a restaurant back in Wisconsin. We are both very customer service oriented and appreciate it when we visit other restaurants. We also understand that in todays environment that staffing is an issue as well as getting product etc.
We noticed several reviews on this restaurant where someone has stated that service was bad or menu items were missing to those people I say stop writing reviews on restaurants until our government figures out the multiple issues that small business are dealing with such as supply, pricing and staffing.
Now back to the restaurant and our experience. One word “Amazing”. Valentines Day with my wife and it couldn’t have been better. We arrived for our reservation early and were greeted by AJ (very friendly) who immediately went to get us a table. While he was doing that we spotted two sits at the bar and decided to take those. (Great Choice) Will and Hannah at the bar were incredible.
We ordered oysters for an appetizer and they were excellent. We followed that up with grilled octopus and that was probably one of the best appetizers my wife and I have ever had. Meal was a bone in filet with a lobster tail and shrimp with creole butter sauce and Brussels sprouts. Both meals were perfect and delicious.
Cooks from the kitchen personally delivered the appetizers and meals and we met three of them all very personable. We also met the head chef “Tam” and it was a pleasure speaking to him as he is an amazing young man who has a very bright future.
Tam,Will,Hannah and AJ and all of the other wonderful staff at BluWave thank you for a truly wonderful dining experience. We hope to be back soon and the great experience repeats itself.
Ah-mazing!! I, along with 20 guests, were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the time we entered until the time we exited, BluWave was exceptional. Allie and Anthony, the wait staff, were patient, polite, accommodating and fun. The food was delish! I think we sampled every appetizer on the menu. And the drink of the night for most was the sea foam colado. We cannot wait to return. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience.
WOW! What an amazing culinary experience!! First, the food was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented!! Secondly, our server Stella was the BEST, and the manager Rachel, was on her game. Between helping out her hostesses and servers she checked in with her guests making sure the food and staff were exceeding expectations. I will definitely be returning!
Great seafood and atmosphere very close to Sanibel island. The lobster roll and tuna are fantastic. Located in the outlet shopping center so it's convenient if you happen to be there shopping to stop in and grab a nice bite to eat.
We were overall disappointed. The atmosphere was nice but it took forever to get any food and then we were disappointed with the main dishes. The crab Rangoon appetizer was over-cooked, dark and hard, left pieces on the plate that were too hard to want to eat. The lobster Mac and cheese was bit fishy tasting and we ate less than half of it. Told the waiter we didn't like it and were given 25% off the price of the dish. The shrimp scampi was....odd...not a traditional version, but very messy and only slightly right of bland, only ate about half of that as well and didn't take the leftovers home. The service was good, waiter kept our drinks filled and it's not his fault necessarily if the food is over-cooked or took too long, so still left him a 20% tip. We are a family that loves seafood and we probably will not go back.
