Best WLM Reviews

Was going to get a room here . Than I found out they are not renting any rooms. What is sad is this is a small town with 2 motels one is a $123.00 a night for one person and the other one isn't renting any rooms .
We like this little motel ~ the price is right and the rooms are comfortable. In the past we have found the front desk personnel to be very warm & welcoming but this time the super friendly clerk unlocked the lobby door and, as per the sign, explained that guests need to go to the truck stop C-Store to register. I think he's probably there most of the time but it was his day off and if it helps to keep the rooms so affordable then that little inconvenience was just that, very little. We seek out motels like this one where you can drive right up to your own exterior door, which makes it SO MUCH easier to load/unload laptop/luggage, etc. My room was nothing fancy but very comfortable with fridge/micro, flat screen TV. A/C cranked & the room stayed nice & cool. Bed had triple sheets were crisp & bright white although the pillows will need to be replaced soon. Bathroom was not white-glove clean but "clean enough" although the older cast iron tub needs to be resurfaced as there were a couple of spots of rust and I noticed a little mold in the shower tile grout...but the water pressure was great. And, there was a second vanity area aside from the sink which was nice. Free wifi but I couldn't connect for whatever reason, "invalid ip address" and yet there was excellent signal strength...but I was too tired to fiddle with it & used my phone as a personal hotspot instead. Breakfast across the street is included with your room price and that was so much nicer than the typical hotel continental you find at your chain establishment. We have stayed here before & would definitely stay here again :-)
We stayed in one of the economy rooms, so I can't speak to the recently remodeled luxury rooms. I've given it 4 stars because it was a good value for the price, but at a higher price I probably would have gone with 3. Our room actually didn't have a shower curtain, which I assume was an accident, and the AC had been turned completely off while it was vacant so the room felt close and warm when we first arrived. Not huge complaints, but definitely not what you'd expect at the bigger chain motels. If what you need is a clean, affordable place to crash for the night then the Blue Top is a great choice. If you want to be pampered a little more then I'd recommend a different hotel OR give their luxury units a try. Minor complaints aside, it was exactly what we needed so if you're on a budget I definitely recommend it.
We made reservations to stay at this hotel from 7/3 to 7/6 while we was in town visiting our family. Well we ended up staying only 1 night... Cause the room they stuck us in had only 2 working plugs! We called and talked to the front desk and he showed us another room and it had roaches crawling all the freaking beds!!! Next morning we got up to ask for the rest of our money back caus there was trash in the stand the front office guy said we had to follow him across the street to the truck stop to get our money back. We walk in I ask is there any way to get ahold of the owners they said no they don't know how to contact them okay fine. One of the ladies asked why we didn't ask to be moved we did! He kept saying their was no more rooms other then the roach room. Then they asked the guy Johnny the front desk guy if he had proof we paid for 3 night.. These old ladies at this truck stop tried to pull we didn't pay!!! Me and my husband took offense to that cause we just freaking paid not even 12 hours before that! Then one of the old ladies that was at the truck stop desk had the right mind to throw out " My sons a cop" Okay lady no on gives a crap give us our money back we paid for 7/3-7/6 had our proof and everything your people didn't as of right now we still have not gotten our refund back. Do your self a favor DO NOT STAY HERE STAFF IF HORRIBLE AND LIE AND THE PEOPLE ACROSS THE STREET WHERE YOU PAY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE TRASH
Owners/operators are very friendly and helpful. This is a nice little inn with reasonable rates (not many places you can pay around 50 bucks for a room and get a *real* breakfast! I'm talking eggs, sausage, hash browns, the works!). The rooms are clean and comfortable and even the cheapest rooms have a fridge and microwave. The bed in my room was awesomely comfortable!! This inn also has an outdoor pool. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I had a very pleasant stay here.
Rooms were clean. Not a fancy place. But newly painted. Really comfortable mattresses and pillows. Non of the smell problems noted on other peoples comments. Very very nice and professional clerk. Free breakfast coupons to Denny' s. Price very reasonable.
This room was rented and resented the same day mid week for a homeless elderly disabled couple while waiting for their home to be ready. At $55 a night and a supposed $20 "Pet Deposit"..of which the pet did not stay. They wouldn't clean the room, take the trash out, change the sheets. This couple both have COPD and one ended up in the hospital ER due to all the dust. Pictures of the disgusting room. Definitely not for families or those with health issues. This "business" shouldn't even be in business. I am a nurse and paid for The room. The guy at the front desk was given a $20 pet DEPOSIT when I decided to take the dog home with me to Springfield. Five min later and I asked for my deposit back since taking the dog home with me and was told it was non-refundable after Five minutes! Small 8 yr old York is who is very well trained and had never been away from his family since birth. No housekeeping at all. The "Christian" family that owns this business stole my $20 and one of the elderly couple ended up in the ER due to the dust and mold!! Lazy owners. Lazy employees obviously. That's the American way in a small town where they take advantage and steal from hard working nurses such as myself apparently. My advice...go to the next town up in Carthage or Nevada!
Nice rooms, beds was very comfortable, I was really impressed with each room having a Actors name and setting! Would definitely stay again..
