I absolutely love Blue Tattoo Cafe. My first encounter was with Mason. He listened to what I wanted, made me feel comfortable, and explained everything in detail. Tommy was/is my artist. This man is magic with ink. He outdid himself. He went above and beyond what my original concept was. He was kind and thoughtful throughout the process. By far this is the best experience I have ever had getting a tattoo. You want the best? These guys are it!
Great shop, went looking for a tattoo and after visiting a few other shops I found Blue Tattoo Cafe. Right off the bat I was greeted by Joel and later by Blue. Both guys were really easy going and we talked about growing up in San Diego. My artist Joel did an amazing job on my piece, as well as started talking about the next piece I'll be getting as well. I've been in a few tattoo shops this one had a great vibe and awesome people. This is a shop that I will most definitely come back to when I'm in town.
I have been going to Tommy at Blue Tattoo Cafe for over a year now. I am absolutely ink addicted and he helped me become that way with his professionalism, efficiency and awesome tattoo work. Whether it was a design that I brought to him or an idea that I had him draw up himself. The result is always amazing. I highly recommend.
Blue Tattoo Cafe has amazing tattoo artists that work closely as a team to complete customized designs for their clients. Mason astonished me with a beautiful customized cover up for my leg that not only I love but amazes everyone who sees it. For my first time being here the atmosphere was great and the artists were incredibly friendly and kind. They offered drinks since there is a cafe connected to the actual tattoo shop. My tattoo artist was George and he did a phenomenal job on my tattoo, he answered all my questions and his artwork was super clean and detailed. Definitely coming back here again when I want another tattoo!
I was visiting my friend in San Diego who suggested I come here to get my cover up done. George quickly and easily fit me into his schedule. He was very friendly and understanding when I wanted my design changed on the spot. He drew up a new image and I loved it. If you're in the area- even just visiting, I suggest you head over to the Blue Tattoo Cafe to get some ink done!
I had my tattoo designed and done by Tommy Chong, and I absolutely love it. This was my first tattoo and I was nervous about it, but he was so great and has such a calming, and light hearted attitude. I gave the description of what I wanted in my tattoo to Mason one evening when I visited and was told that when Tommy was done with it, I'd get a call.
I was nervous on what to expect, since it was my first...but when I went to see the sketch... I absolutely fell in love and realized that it was so much more than I had envisioned, and was ready to do it then and there, but of course I had to set up a time to come in and all that.
Tommy was great, we had two sessions, one for the outline then one for the coloring. We talked, listened to music and I felt comfortable the whole time.
This place is great and Tommy is awesome!!!
Tommy Chong was my tattooist. Great guy, great artist, with more than enough talent. The Tattoo Cafe itself was pretty cool, with a chill waiting area / bar. I was happy with the labor rate and ink that I got, and I will definitely be getting my next tat there.
