Blue Kale fills the breakfast cafe gap Skokie needed. Generous portions of delicious food are served in a serene and calming atmosphere, making it a delightful dining experience.

Found this place while walking through Skokie downtown. I ordered Avocado tartine with fried egg with a latte. The taste was on point and so fresh. The latte was great also. Highly recommend!!

The best service, best taste, best atmosphere. The food was so fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was very minimal and comfy. The service was very good and fast. Definitely my ‘go-to’ spot in Skokie. Worth driving over 30 mins.
I think the biggest issue I have with this place is the price. It was $50 for avocado toast, one fried egg, french toast and a coffee. It's a counter service restaurant. The prices are too high for what it is. The atmosphere was fine. Nothing unique. There were some nice plants. The food was not good either. The egg was fine. You can't really mess up an egg, but the avocado was sweet, like there was sugar added. I couldn't eat it. It just didn't taste good. I had higher expectations for the french toast at that price point. It was a croissant cut in half, made into french toast with a piece of bacon on top. The coffee was fine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant mostly because it's too expensive for what it is.
Pleasantly surprised!
I went here to eat on Sunday morning and it blew me away! The quality of the food is outstanding. I had a smoked salmon avocado sandwich which is now one of my favorite breakfast dishes. The price is reasonable compared to the food that you will get.
Friendly and quick service too! You order at the counter and they will bring the food to you. I was checked on many times.
They have a very clean and minimalist interior with two tables for outdoor dining.
I truly fell in love with this place and am excited for many future visits!

Still amazing quality food! I tried the brie cheese apple sandwich and it was great too! The food is so delightful and light every bite feels like a treat!
