Best WLM Reviews

Genuinely the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. We got a little bit of everything. I was shocked at how incredibly well done the veggie options were. The eggplant & catfish were the stars of the show in my opinion. Delicious and creative drinks. Service was immaculate and everything arrived quickly. I have not a single complaint. Haven't stopped thinking about dinner since last night and I'm already planning on coming back tonight for take 2.
Truly an amazing experience start to finish! Love my Chinese food I’m St. Louis, MO but this place kept my jaw on the floor. Huge portions, phenomenal spicy and flavor, along with expertly made drinks that are strong but do not make you choke on the hard liquor taste. Adding this place to my repeat restaurants when i do my biannual Nola trip with friends and family. Also right next to Fat Boy Pantry which has amazing homemade ice cream with super unique flavors to top off the meal!
AMAZING!! I loved this place. We got a bit of everything from the menu to taste it and there was literally nothing that wasn’t delicious! That crispy beef was my favorite. The service was top notch, and the drink options had something for everyone. Definitely give this place a shot! Get a reservation if you can.
AMAZING ????
We wanted Chinese and this place was the closest to where we were, so we decided to give it a try. It isn't very big but nice and cozy. We sat at the bar do to limited seating (we did not make reservations). We ordered the pork pot stickers as an appetizer and was BLOWN away. I've never tasted any better and the soy/black vinegar was insanely good, it did a weird thing to our mouths lol Felt like tiny explosions on our tongues or like when you eat pop rocks. So creative. For my main dish I ordered the spicy eggplant which did not disappoint, they were super spicy and delicious! Great drinks. We loved it!
Blue Giant is some of the best Chinese food in New Orleans! My wife and I went here for a Saturday lunch during the pandemic.
First, know that indoor seating was requiring a reservation while outdoor seating was first come, first serve. Reservations were via Resy. They have hand sanitizer at the table, and all employees wore a mask.
Blue Giant’s customer service was excellent. They happened to be out of diet coke when we went, but one of the staff ran next door to buy a bottle.
We ordered family-style, not that you need to, and split everything. The egg roll and potstickers we're our choices for appetizers. The potstickers were the clear winner! Highly recommend.
We then had the Broccoli Stir-fry and Dry Chili Chicken. Both were spicy dishes. Let me preface this next bit with we love Chinese food! We knew we would like what we ordered but didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did! Both dishes had a ton of flavor—more than I imagined. The dry chili chicken, I believe, had Szechuan peppers in it, so you get a nice ”numb” mouthfeel from the spiciness.
Overall, it was a great lunch, and excited to have restaurants like this in the city! I would highly recommend them.
Food was incredible. The Dan Dan Noodles are EXTREMELY spicy. The crab Rangoon and shrimp wanton were incredible. Chicken fried rice was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Overall, a great meal.
I was visiting New Orleans and heard about this Asian restaurant in Nola. I am from NY so I was skeptical but BOY was I wrong. The food was impeccable. I had the Catfish, Pork dish, Brocolli, Shrimp Fried Rice and Shrimp Wontons. The meal was to die for! It comes to your table as it is cooked, I don't always love that bec I want to start eating it all together but I also love my food hot and fresh. I also had the Cookie Monster Ice cream desert. I would suggest this restaurant for a date or a group. And now that I've had the experience I would make this a destination every time I visit Nola.
We expected great and were still pleasantly surprised. Some things were spicier than expected, but this is coming from people that love spice and didn't think this level would be appropriate for the masses. Pictured are the marinated cucumbers, the crispy beef and the shrimp wontons. We also had the duck lo mein, but didn't get a pic. It was perfect. Everything we had was a must have! Go here!
