Best WLM Reviews
Amazing service and food. I ordered the filet mignon with salmon risotto & asparagus for my entrée for dessert I had a homemade carrot cake with crème brûlée and for my appetizer I had oysters and my drink was a 1888 espresso martini.
I was astonished by the taste of the food after reviewing the menu. I was so excited to go eat here after looking at the menu online. Them we got served the edamome and it looked like someone just got a bag of edamome out of the freezer at Publix, put it on a plate and served it to us. The shells were very dehydrated and dry to the taste. Then we received our main course. My daughter got what I felt was a wonderful salad and she told me that (even if it looked great) it tasted like a basic salad and definitely needed the dressing as it seemed like the lettuce was also very dehydrated. I got the famed lobster grilled cheese and it was incredibly dry. After about 3 or 4 bites I had to ask for some cheese sauce or something like it to dip it in. The taste of the lobster was good but the sandwich it was in was very dry. As always, I will attempt to try this restaurant again and order something else before I make my final opinion on taste so please check back in a little while to see my update.

Blu on the Avenue is always a great restaurant option on Park Avenue in Winter Park. If you’re looking for a place that specializes in seafood, including sushi, with some other land dishes, this might be for you! There’s always usually good service here - though sometimes food does take a while. It’s okay to wait in my opinion, as long as the waiter/waitress is good. I’ve been going for years and some of my favorite dishes are the conch fritters, salmon chips, roasted half duck, Florida shrimp and grits, lobster roll, fish tacos, and pork belly tacos! If you’re wanting sushi, the Avenue roll, Angry Dragon roll, and Ceviche roll are my three favorites. I also haven’t tried the “Ocean” category yet, though I would imagine these would be some of the best options from the whole menu. Some dishes aren’t as good as others, like the lobster mac and cheese for instance, but a majority are great and you have a pretty safe chance of having a really nice meal here. I will continue to return and I definitely would recommend it one time!
We visited here right after the best of winter park awards ceremony, of which this venue won for best happy hour. Ironically, it was still happy hour, and I was surprised at how reasonably the drinks were. They made my old fashioned just how I like, except they use small ice cubes instead of one large cube. My wife loved her pumpkin expresso martini. We got the fondue plate, and conch fritters, and the fondue was amazing for sure. Next time we come we’re going to get the lobster Mac and cheese. We do recommend this place.
This was my first time with the family for my birthday. I drove 40 min to this location, and it was a nice quiet location in the middle of the week. Weekend's seam to be the stop to be. I had dragon roll very nice, and the lobster grill chess, my wife had a burger. And as an added bonus, they gave me a nice birthday cup with a candle. We also had an expresso martini for my wife, and I had an old-fashioned with Angels Envy. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly.
Took my family for dinner at Blue and I will say the food overall was very good. We had the seafood tower and conch fritters both were very very good! I had the black grouper ruben which was also very good and their skinny fries are amazing! The service was slow and the waiter was at attentive but we kept having to reorder our same drinks over and over till they came out. The atmosphere is so so. Probably a better lunch spot than dinner spot.
Service was great from beginning but food was average. I had the Caesar salad which was ok but the salmon i ordered was grill but had sauce that tasted like a weird barbecue which i really didn’t like and also my asparagus was overcooked but the potatoes were good. I may give it a try again but sure to try something else. Not really sure yet.
Henry was a wonderful server. Food/Drinks were fantastic (Seafood Bowl, Spicy Tuna, Blackened Grouper Reuben & BluBeeey Sangria!
