Stopped in for a quick bite with some friends mid-morning. The service is seat yourself. We sat at the counter and quickly had a friendly waitress asking what we'd like. There is a large selection of breakfast choices. The food came quick, hot, and tasty. The value for the money is good also. This is not only a restaurant, but a dairy as well. They offer local milk and ice cream for sale. A nice spot to stop for lunch or breakfast.
We went to Bliss for dinner and then ice cream afterward. The restaurant/ ice cream service are split up in 4 ways. There is indoor dining (which we did), inside order/pickup, outside order & pickup ( however it's 1 window with a shortened menu to order) and ice cream windows.
The inside dining area was large enough to seat a good number of people and you are also able to sit down to just order ice cream. The service was excellent with very attentive waiters and waitresses. They were quick to fill out soda refills and the meals came out quickly and hot. I ordered a chicken platter which is put together a little differently than your typical chicken tender plate. It came with chicken fingers, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes & gravy. However, I substituted fries for the mashed potatoes. I also got both curly & regular fries. It was tasty and hot and the tenders & fries were hot and tenders were large (came with 5 tenders). Children got the sliders with fries and they were good. The sliders came in 2 sizes; kids & adult. The only difference is the adult has 3 sliders & kid has 2. Finally, my wife had the clam strips roll which left much to be desired. It was over fried and obviously no bellies so it was basically just fried bits on a hot dog roll. It came with fries. I honestly wouldn't recommend it, especially if you are a true New Englander.
We went outside to order ice cream and it was delicious. The ice cream is homemade and they have several windows so the wait wasn't long. The small was the size of a large at most places and well worth the price. They have so many options there is something for everyone. Also, it's worth mentioning they have both hard & soft serve ! Not sure how the sizes worked out there as we only had hard ice cream.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the ice cream and the meal was ordinary. In fact the ice cream was so good I forgot to take pictures!! I'd have to try other meals to see if the rest of food is good. But check it out!
Stopped in for an ice cream. Server was friendly and helpful. Had a taste of peanut butter oreo, good! And cowabunga crunch, excellent. Ice cream is rich and tasty. Ample serving sizes. Worth stopping in regardless of the season!
Great place. We went for breakfast. Hash Benedict...YUM!
Delicious coffee, very friendly workers, nice atmosphere.
WIN, WIN, WIN
Back Again!
This time, Auntie and I had lunch. She had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and a cup of Clam Chowder. And I had the Corned Beef Ruben and a House Salad.
Once again, the food was very good. The service was great as well.
And we went back again. This is a great little spot (not that little actually) where you can get very decent food at very reasonable prices. The waitstaff is absolutely terrific.
This time Auntie got the Pulled Pork Sandwich. I got the Chef's Salad. Everything was delicious.
Great ice-cream and good apps! Service staff is young and inexperienced leading to issues, but we'll still be back.
Burgers and fries were excellent. The Reuben sandwich was very tasty. The chocolate frappe was perfect. The ice cream was really creamy and great . The nostalgic feel to the dining atmosphere was like stepping back into your childhood. The old dairy photos on the walls The 50s style diner seating . The server we had was perfect. We came in as a large party 9 after seeing the LIGHTS. The server worked the party with attention to every detail.
I went on a Saturday for lunch with my daughters and their grandparents. Everyone else loved their food! I ordered the patty melt on sourdough. It tasted like it was dipped in an oil bath. The bread was soaked in grease. I’ve had it before and it doesn’t look like this. I ate what I could and got rid of the rest. You don’t need to put that much butter on the bread. I’m sure it was the butter and not the burger grease as the bread was very crunchy still. It was disappointing.
My son and I come here often and we love it! Delicious food! My son dreams about the home fries and wants to know their secret recipe! A must-stop breakfast place if your ever in the area!
