My hair is damaged. I don’t know if they put some sort of chemical straightener in my hair without my knowledge along with extreme heat damage. I called and asked them if they put anything in my hair and they denied it, said that with my hair texture it would probably take 3-4 weeks for my curls to come back however I’ve blow dried and flat ironed my hair before and immediately after washing my curls come right back. It has been over a month and my curls have yet to return. On top of the fact that 2-3 weeks after my hair still smelled burnt. I am absolutely devastated. I’d been growing my hair out for 4 years, proud of my curls and now my hair is completely damaged. This week I started to wash my hair with a shampoo that has sulfates in it, don’t use conditioner and don’t put on any hair products to see if it would strip out whatever chemical they used and when my hair dries there are lots of areas that are stick straight and shiny as if I put products in it. I don’t know what chemicals they used but they used something and I’m scared my hair now has irreversible damage to it. I highly suggest you avoid going to this place seeing as how they are dishonest. I wish I read the reviews before coming in because I see that some people have had similar experiences as mine. In my pictures you’ll see my curls BEFORE going to Blessed Land and a month later what my hair looks like today, freshly washed with shampoo, no conditioner and no hair products in it.
The absolute worst experience of my life. I went to this salon on a whim because the salon I normally go to Biro Dominican salon was closed. I needed my hair done bad and I thought how could anyone possibly mess up a wash set and press. I WAS SO WRONG. When I washed my hair after wearing the style I was horrified my hair was still straight once I wet it!! My hair usually reverts into curls as soon as it comes in contact with water. My hair had this overwhelming burnt smell and shininess to it that leads me to believe they put some type of straightening agent in my hair without my knowledge!!!! My hair is damaged and it won’t go back to my once bouncy curls. HEAT DAMAGE IS SO UPSETTING because now I must cut my hair. CUT MY HAIR NOT TRIM because these folks don’t know what they’re doing. IM LIVID DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON EVER. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR THEYRE HORRIBLE

I want to thank the Stylists at Blessed Land for helping my daughter with her hair for homecoming today. They were all truly a blessing, beyond kind and professional! And, the blow out they did was phenomenal!!!!!!!! I truly apologize for rushing them, we were running late and it took us 2 1/2 hours to get to the school. They understood, and made sure every strand was in place. We will be back in two weeks, for her trim. Thank you again????
One of the worst hair salons I have been to. Very hard to cooperate with. I have very long hair and all they cared about was their time not their customer. Next time I am using my money elsewhere. The image is just three days after i got my hair straightened there. It is already ruined.
This was my daughter’s first time getting a Dominican hair roller setting and blow dry. Her hair came out absolutely beautiful. She has a ton of supper curly thick mixed hair and I couldn’t believe how silky and shiny is turned out. My daughter also had her hair trimmed. It’s so important to go to a salon that understands curly hair and how to cut it right. Blessed land Dominican salon did a fantastic job. Now to be 100% honest you are looking at being at the salon for a good 3 to 4 hours. So be patient and bring a snack and a good book or IPad for the kids. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis.
Do not go here ! I was natural for years and was getting comfortable with the state my hair was in. I went in and asked for a simple wash and for my hair to be straightened. Never did I once ask for a Keratin treatment, but that’s what I ended up leaving the salon with. My hair is now thin, balding, and can barely hold a curl. They went behind my back and made a decision for my hair I would have never consented to. This salon even over priced me for this job I never asked for. Please save your money and your hair and do not go to this salon.
Well for a homecoming booking for my granddaughter at the last minute as her original plans went left. Ramona the owner took the appointment with my very disgruntled granddaughter. She wanted her specific style as seen on Instagram..Ramona who had a fully booked day, took her and even though she was managing her other clients, my granddaughter was sooo pleased at the end results.
