Delicious seafood in large quantities. Plenty of options to please a group of people with varied tastes. I usually go for their fried fish and fries, but my girlfriend loves the grilled fish with rice and veggies.
Keep an eye on the specials board. It changes frequently and they are always worth a try.
Each dish is made to order, so expect quality over speed.
It's a tiny building (like an old sonic drive in), so there's only 5 tables inside.
The cashier is really nice and the food is DELICIOUS. The portions are big. Honestly, it was the best seafood I've had in Wichita. The catfish reminds me of what you get down south in Mississippi or Louisiana. They were busy when I went, so definitely call ahead for carry out if you're in a hurry.
Food is always amazing ❤️???????? This is the Lemon pepper tilapia the portions are so big. You will have enough leftover for tomorrow…. I already took my portion out, and I still have plenty of food left. Love Love Love this place.
New name, new location same great fish.
Huge pieces of Catfish coated in corn meal or flour or one of each. Limited seating inside but lots of car parks outside with a few benches to enjoy the summer months. They have a variety of seafood items to choose from, don't want you to think they just have Catfish just one of my favorites. See ya there.
Ordered catfish nuggets with French fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Extremely good and cheap! More than enough food for a couple or several meals. You will not leave hungry!!
Blalock is still nearly identical to the Wichita Fish Co. They have great fish for really excellent price and one of my favorite is the alligator but had a special for fried flounder that I tried this time. I wasn't familiar with flounder but 2 large whole filets were served and I was able to get the veggies instead of fries. Flounder was tasty, white, flaky meat and I enjoyed it. The dinner comes with fries, hush puppies and slaw, but I am not a cabbage fan of any sort and their fries are good but prefer veggies. Usually an upcharge but by getting rid of the rice and slaw they called it even. They're in the old Sonic at 801 N West so the indoor eating is small but they have a TV now too. There's outdoor seating as well. All in all the place is still a great hidden gem.
They have the BEST fried fish in town! We got catfish strips dinners to go. The staff was so friendly while we waited, and very busy with other orders. We love the cornmeal badder fried catfish, but will be trying other dishes soon. The fries, hushpuppies, & coleslaw are all great! We really like that they DO NOT over salt everything.
First time customer. First impression was the place is cute and pretty clean! Most tenant Sonic space takeovers are pretty gross, but not this place. I had tilapia sandwich with their homemade coleslaw, both are tasty, the meal was filling and the price is just right. We sat out front and ate, only down side was the flies started to takeover and would help if the outside trash can had a lid. I will definitely come back again and do recommend.
