Amazing food with great service. The desserts are home made too and delicious. I forgot to take a picture before I started eating because I was so exited to eat!! I had the Mediterranean omelette that was on the specials with a side of yummy potatoes and they even have gluten free toast!
Wow! Excellent food and service! The Biscuits & Gravy are about the best you can get dining out. The biscuits were perfect and grilled, the gravy homemade with their delicious sausage! Generous portion; excellent price! The Big Breakfast was in fact, big. Their bacon and ham are smokey delicious, potatoes obviously homemade and cooked to perfection. My sausage was hand pattied, perfectly fried, very lean and tasted like the local sausage I used to have as a kid. The pancakes also very tasty and perfect. I didn't eat all this, my daughter was with me. She loved everything as well. It's a cozy, welcoming restaurant, very clean, and with delicious food worth coming back for. ❤️
This was our first time at Blacksmith Bar & Restaurant and it won’t be our last. When we were waiting on the host, three different servers walked past us and each of them greeted us and told us that someone would be right with us. You don’t see that too often. After being sat, Andrienne greeted us and went over the specials they had for the evening. Her recommendations were spot on. Her service was one of the best I have had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was tastefully done. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area of Berlin, MD.
My coffee cup was kept filled. My Irish oatmeal was piping hot and creamy. I can't make it at home this well. Service was friendly and attentive.
The strawberry eclair cake was delicious. So light and fluffy and perfectly flavored.
This was some of the best home cooking at a restaurant you can find. Closest thing ive found to my grandmothers cooking. Highly recommend trying some of the bakery treats as well! Our service was fast just an all around good experience. I will most definitely be back!
We have heard nothing but good things about the place. So we decided to try them. My husband’s breakfast came out and looked great. I had to sit and wait 15 minutes for my order to come out. All I ordered was a waffle with strawberries. The waitress saw me looking at her and she completely avoided me. Another waitress asked me if I was waiting on my order and we told her yes. Apparently the waitress forgot to put my order in. How is that possible? Finally after over 15 minutes of waiting. My waffles and 2 little strawberries came out. The only reason why I ate it was because I was starving. Other than that the waffle was not good. Ego’s at home tasted better. The other waitress (maybe the owner) asked me how my food was? I told her it was not good. She told me she would take it off the bill. I told her no. I will pay for my meal. My original waitress was not great. If you make a mistake own up to it and apologize don’t avoid your customers. We paid and tipped. But will not return to this restaurant.
My wife our daughter and granddaughter went here for breakfast, I had not finished my coffee I had with me already. We were seated and placed our order when the server looked at my coffee mug and asked what’s that about, I simply stated I was finishing my morning coffee and nothing more was said about it. We proceeded to have our breakfast which was mediocre in my book, however my wife and daughter liked the biscuits and gravy. Upon settling our bill I left them with a 50% tip for the day. Unfortunately I also forgot my coffee mug, so all called the following Wednesday ( the next day they were open) and asked if they had my coffee mug and they nicely responded yes we do. I responded OK thank you will be in again this weekend for breakfast and pick it up then. The four of us returned the following weekend again I was still finishing my morning coffee, while placing our order we informed the waitress that I had previously left a cup the former weekend she said she would check on it. The owner Darci stepped out of The kitchen with my cup in hand and said you’ll get this when you’re done. After a 45 minute wait Our breakfast was served. At which point Darci ( one of the owners) came out with my cup from the week before and loudly said “ I thought I made myself clear last week“. I responded with excuse me, she began to berate me and My family in front of the other customers, for bringing in my coffee the week before. I was never asked do you take it back outside or not bring it in again, which would not have been a problem. But instead she decided it was better to be very loud and very rude to me and my family to the point we said we would not return and asked for packages for our meals. At that point she responded with good we don’t want you here. The whole situation could’ve been handled so much better from the beginning, a simple misunderstanding turned into a very upsetting day for my wife and daughter. Needless to say I will never recommend this restaurant because of its management.
First time trying this restaurant, and very glad we stopped! Cozy small restaurant with tasty treats! Friendly staff and great prices to top it off. Forgot to snap a few pictures of breakfast because it smelled delicious and I dug right in ???? I had the mushroom, bacon, swiss omelet and enjoyed every bite! Next time I am passing through I will definitely be stopping again!
