Excellent food and service! I had a 10 ounce sirloin with baked potato and asparagus. My wife had a T-bone steak and vegetables. Both meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. Our server was professional, friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend the Black Stallion and look forward to eating there again when visiting Monticello, Kentucky. 5 Stars!
Service was great. Food could have been great. Unfortunately the butter, gravy, and salad dressing were premade soy bean oil garbage which ruined the great food.

Read good reviews and wanted something nice for dinner. Black Stallion has quite a variety on their menu. The server, Leslie, was awesome and friendly and did a great job even though she was very busy. We had a large party and she was able to handle it well. The restaurant itself is quite large with several different seating areas. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 which were great, one not so much. The fried pickles and choriqueso dip were very good. We were disappointed in the cheesy bacon fries. The steak fries didn't seem fresh. Most people ordered steak of some sort, a few got ribs and a few got burgers and one ordered chicken. The ribs and burgers were excellent. The steak was hit or miss, but it seemed like the ribeye was the best of the steaks ordered. The sides, mostly fries or Mac n cheese were just ok. In the end, we would come back. Everything is good, but it depends what you order.
I'd wanted to give this place a chance for several years, and it didn't disappoint. Oddly, although we went in for steak, I ended up seeing a catfish dinner and had to have it. My husband got ribeye tips. Both meals were delicious, and we'll definitely go back.
First time eating here as we was passing through on backroads on the motorcycle. Place seemed friendly and clean. We were seated right away and greeted by a wonderful waiter. Food was hot and perfect ordered a drink from the bar and it too was amazing. We have found a new favorite spot seriously could give this place 10 stars!!!!
The food was bland and tasteless. I orered a rare Ribeye and she ordered a med rare sirloin / grilled chicken combo plate. The ribeye was unseasoned and not seared as was the sirloin. the chicken looked like it was steamed and then tapped on some grill grates to make it look grilled. The Macaroni and cheese was about like Chef boyardee soup macaroni and cheese, but had less flavor.
To top off the experience they couldnt take credit cards and we had to wait 30 minutes after I gave them my card to get a payment processed. I regret even knowing that this restaurant exists and wish that I had not wasted $67 on this disgusting food.
Do not go. The wait staff was friendly.
I would give them five stars, but I waited for ever for my food. Now, the wait was WELL worth it. I asked for BBQ sauce for my pork chops, that was unnecessary! The pork chops were delicious, they did not need any sauce. The bread was warm and so good. Again, speed was there, but boy was the food good.
