The food was delicious. I thought it was an ok priced for steak. $24 for 9 oz sirloin with two sides. More of an upscale price but the quality of everything deemed it reasonable. Pretzel and cheese fondu was good. Green beans were very fresh, like too fresh, they didn't really taste cooked. But luckily i had the rock right there. The loaded mashed potatoes were very good.
Rock sauce was delicious. I didn't think anything could be better than a1 with steak. I was wrong.
Got the cheesecake for dessert. That was amazing. I'm picky with cheesecake but theirs was so good.
Our server was very nice, kept our refills up and he was attentive to our table.
Ultimately, very good, I will be back.
MY WIFE & I live in the Brighton Michigan area. For Mother's Day MY WIFE was treated to the Black Rock Bar & Grill in the Davison, MI area by Her Daughter & Son. There was a buffet meal served, & it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive. WE ate our fill!
Black Rock has a good variety of food and large selection of alcoholic beverages. I got the virgin strawberry daiquiri. ????
You get to cook your choice of steak on a ????HOT Lava Stone???? to the way you like it.
????The food was more slow to come out than usual for what is considered a top quality restaurant.
Most of it was rather delicious. The bread that came out with the lobster dip was a bit salty. The dip itself was so good. There was a lot of oil at the bottom of the dish of the fried pickles. The lukewarm French onion soup was okay.
???? The Bubbling shrimp was tasty, but I shouldn't have left it in the hot butter for so long. I loved the Campfire baked sweet potato.Cooking the steak with garlic butter is aromatic and savory.
☺️The server was very helpful in how to order and cook the steak on the extremely HoT rock as this was my 1st time dining there. ????

Our waiter was fantastic, however very disappointed in the food and in management! Lunch time was empty and our food was cold and over salted. So we decided to just eat dessert and I can’t believe how terrible it was. Brownie was like a day old and cold , our apple crisp was like eating mush. No toppings on it . The whipped topping was terrible tasting ! All the manager could say was absolutely zero!!
Great experience. Had a extremely fatty steak that the waitress disregarded when I commented but the manager comped it for us which was super nice. We came back the same week and I mentioned about my steak and to please check it prior, he did and it was perfect. We felt our stones weren't as hot as they could have been this time but overall 10/10
Enjoyed the experience the restaurant can provide. There were plenty of selections to choose from. Enjoyed the ability to season and cook the steak to my liking. Unfortunately the appetizer lobster dip was extremely oily. But overall the food experience wasn't bad. The service was great. The restaurant could benefit from cleaning though. Booths were filthy with a large amounts of dirt and items sitting in the booth openings.

Here's the the mystery, two of the rocks were Hot!
And two were not.
Now, if our server was on the ball or even came back ,we could have said something.
By the time she came back around half the meal was eaten, under cooked.
Our server Casandra said she would replace them with asparagus, poof! She was gone not to be seen much later.
One of our entree plates was dirty, she took it and never replaced it, she watched my wife and I share one until I asked for another, which was not fast or quick.
A manager came by and asked about our meal.
We told him about the asparagus ordeal.
That was the last we saw of him!
This was our first time there, and we were not impressed with the service first and management last.
Service was friendly but sure lacked performance .

Very friendly caring service. Took extra time to verify for food allergies.
My family went as we were reeling from the loss of my beloved sister, who was also a wife and mother. We just needed a good comforting experience, spending time together to distract us from the horrible monster that cancer is for a few hours.
It was the kind of good food and unique experience (you cook your own steak on lava rocks heated to 777°) that my sister would have loved,and in healthier times would have spear headed a trip to.
I will absolutely return with my family to visit this establishment again.
