Black and beautiful the best African hair braiding shop in Columbus area, my hair came out just the way I wanted and I’ll definitely go back????????????
I should’ve learn my lesson from other people reviews. I recently visited this shop and requested Knots-less box, was told it was different price okay.
Give me box braids instead, show the picture to the two stylists that was there , and they said okay. Mind you, I emailed the shop prior to my appointment in advance and ask questions about pricing and hair. I was told price was $180 including the hair, by the owner. I got to my appointment, the stylist proceeded to do my hair.
About 40min minutes into the braiding process, i noticed my hair was short, not even close to bra length, I proceeded to ask the stylist, why my hair was short, she than acted like she didn’t understand english, or understood me okay cool.
The owner came by and said that was the actual length for box braids really??? how could you give me 16inch length as a box braids really ?Now i realize i was in trouble, they’ve just did 3braids, i was about to walked out, i guess they knew i was getting irritated, than the owner proceeded to say “ okay but next time length is more money than just saying you want box braids. I sit in that chair from 11:45am - 5:05pm it could’ve been longer, instead i insisted that i had to go to work. This owner has to time punctuality okay, So you’ve been warned.
What i’ve on my hair doesn’t look like box braids y’all, I’ve too much hair on my head. I show the stylist, and the owner pictures of how i wanted my hair, *box braids!!!!!! It shouldn’t be this hard when photos are shown right? nah got a mess on my head.
Now to be honest, the stylist that did my hair can braid very well, but not giving me my style totally take out the skills of braiding to me.
I guess these stylists don’t know how to do certain styles so you’ve been warned!!!

As an African too, i was shock to learn my own people could be as dishonest , on the level of pettiness and lack of unprofessional customer service. What i encounter was discouraging. Now i understand why others non-culture or Non African nationality goes through from theses braiding shops, more especially form this location.
Never again, will i go to this braiding location.
Natural hair Customer be warned!
Flats iron your hair, before going to this shop, they’ll comb your hair as if you’ve come from the Amazon rainforest I worried i may loss my hair after these braids are done.
I strongly believe they can improve customers services, by communicate more in depth, as to pricing, and service intended by the customer, instead of it being a secret and surprise to the customer upon arrival.
I should’ve waited for my niece to come back from vacation to braids my hair. 2 Star for location nothing else.

Yes knotless box braids and regular box braids are definitely different prices and you are told from the beginning so you know and make a decision .
*That’s not true *, i communicated with you a week prior to my scheduled dates! You didn’t explain anything further other than emailing me a price of $180 of what i wanted and confirming the dates.
Ma’am you will do better in your business if you honestly articulate your prices, explain to customers in-depth of your product , and service. If you do all of these things, no-one will be shocked of paying you the price of your service.
Sitting in your chair and getting something totally different on your head is unprofessional business practice.
Take criticism. work on area you’re limited on, improve service and more on . *You braid good hair, but you don’t give what’s ask? just to increase the price, If you were to explains on the email and telephone conversation, we had , you couldn’t be bothered with my review. I got service from you that wasn’t great but yet you’re defending your prices.. Paying isn’t a problem, service is giving me what i ask for. If 3.5 stars is satisfactory to you, than Good luck!
Recently was serviced here the middle of January for long box braids. They did an amazing job on my long box braids 3 braiders were on my hair and they did not snatch or pull my hair which was greatly appreciated. I can say I felt welcomed in their establishment. I truly believe good costumer service is what ppl look for to maintain loyal customers. This was my second time here for braids and it was worth my hour and 25 min drive. These ladies did not stop and take a million breaks my fingers were tired for them because my style took a nice amount of time because of the size and length that I wanted. I do recommend this establishment to others that are interested in braids. I appreciate the time the one particular lady took to ensure that my braids were damn near perfect. I will definitely return in the future. Establishment was clean hair turned out just like the picture that I showed them.
Cut my natural hair in several places during the trimming of the braids before dipping them. Discovered this error once removed as several 6 inch long pieces of my hair was in my hand and in more than one spot. The day of service I thought I seen the cut but thought it was the weave, nope it was mines. Called and texted owner and was provided an excuse stating this has never happened before! I pressed on and was given $60 which honestly isn’t enough but I simply won’t return as I discovered she doesn’t want me to anyway because she is out of money. Weird thing to say especially when I’m the one with the missing hair. Good thing there is plenty of braiders in this city. I would beware of this shop. To heavy handed during the service from one tech and to rushed with those scissors so your hair may get cut.
My first visit to get my hair braided and I loved my hair. The ladies who braided my micros. Gave me just what I asked for. I will return
I usually have my hair braided by Hawa, but today I had a beautiful lady with short hair do my braids(can’t remember her name) she did a amazing job & I just love my hair! She was friendly & fast…always a pleasure coming to this shop, highly recommend ????
I came and got my hair braided in box braids yesterday, the lady was really nice she asked me if it was too tight when she first started! And she even apologized to me because I was flinching due to me being tender headed, while I was there getting my hair done I don’t even think the poor lady had a bite to eat, she had a 5 min break, others helped her at time, but they also helped each other! Very nice and cheap prices! I will definitely be coming back.
Today I had micro braids installed. Their facility is clean and sanitized the chairs and equipment as soon as someone got up out the chair. Everyone kept their mask on the entire time I was there. Everyone was friendly and professional. I didn’t notice any of the stylists stopping a million times to take breaks eat talk etc. None of the stylists had attitudes like some of the other braiding salons that I have visited before. Costumer service is excellent in this establishment. I drove over an hour and will continue to do business with them. My braids are beautiful and worth every penny. Their prices are reasonable and they sell all types of hair and products to care for your style. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a clean nice professional place for a hair do. They offer a variety of services.
