Best WLM Reviews
I went there today to order a $35 fried fish and the fish I was given is not worth the price. The food was good however I can't justify paying the price. Also they gave me 2 thin plantains and rice that seems a day old.
I ordered food for delivery and it arrived cold. I was also missing my sides of rice and beans, and dessert. When I tried to contact the restaurant, I was given the run around and my order was never completed. Needless to say I was not refunded the money for the missing items. Very bad 1st impression for this restaurant.
My husband and I usually go to la Difference restaurants next door. So we realized there is another Haitian restaurant next door that is this one. My husband and I decided to pay them a visit. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE from the start. The lady was very unprofessional. We waited for almost 1 hr, thinking the food should be fresh and hot, she brough us the food in a to go box. The marinad was cold and awful. The pikliz was bad. It tasted like a fermented cabbage that was pouri like it's been there for years. The meat was cold and full of vlen. 1 plate of fritay 2 drinks for $70.00. And they added 18% gratuity for us to pay. My husband paid it, but oh boy...NEVER,NEVER. EVER, EVER, , NEVER AGAIN.
First time eating here and it was a pleasant experience. The food is Haitian Creole and being that it was a first I was a little unsure, but the dishes are much like ours in Jamaica just prepared a little differently. The waitress was very kind and patient with explaining everything on the menu and was helpful in making a decision. This is a definite must try if you are looking for something new. Relaxed atmosphere located in the heart of metro west.
I was super impressed because I'm not particularly familiar with the cuisine but the chef was kind enough to walk me through everything and I was blown away I cannot really express how much I joyed the variety of food the vegetables the meats everything was fresh well cooked full of flavor I highly recommend it
Good thing I didn’t tip, being that they don’t tell you they tack on a 15 % service fee. That’s wild, I paid $36 for two drinks
Amazing Haitian food. Nice place too.
I had to come back and edit my review because this is unacceptable. You call 10 times they’ll pick up say hello how can I help you and hang up every time as soon as you start talking. This has happened more than once.
I placed a phone order for Lalo with black rice around 11:30 am. Walked in the place was very dark. The food was old the rice was scorched and so was the lalo. I could tell they warmed it up on the stove that morning. I will never return. Might I add I have been here several times and the food just keeps getting worst. Maybe the night vibe is better.
