Like no chain I've ever loved, I love this chain to bits. The San Marcos style pinged with flavours straight from the south...not Texas, all the way south! Sadly, the torta had dry chook and a roll that would be better if they provided a bit of consomme for dipping...at $13 it can be better. But I'll be back like Arnie.
Hands down the best birria tacos in LA. The broth has chunks of meat and the quesotacos are perfectly crunchy. The cheese is incredible and the meat is flavorful. Theres a reason these guys have multiple locations and are on a few food channels.
I have visited this location many times in the past few years and it has been a wonderful experience but today was the total opposite. I called to do a pickup order and the man who answered hung up on me many times and did not get my order down correctly. I then picked up my order and same man had an attitude. Payed and went to my hotel to eat and I noticed we did not receive any cilantro, onions, and instead we received old radish’s (see picture) the tacos were old tasting and hard stale tortillas. The ramen was lacking flavor. Overall just tasted like store bought flavors. I will not be going back unfortunately. Not sure if there is new management or what but do not waste your money here. It may have been good years ago but this is no longer the case…. There was also some strange flakes in one of the flavorless salsas…
Food is always delicious. I like the quedo tacos.
No place to seat, but a one outside bench. However the food was super fresh, and quite delicious. Highly recommend ❤️
I love everyone and everything about Birrieria San Marcos!! Food and service is always great, even when I’ve had mishaps in my orders they’re always super understanding and accommodating. Everyone has to try the San Marcos Style Tacos, the avocado on the birria just hits different!! And do not forget to order the consomé (broth) on the side ????
Service and food was great but if there was a place to eat at this place it would be awesome. Be prepared to get it to go, calling in your order is a good idea.
It was my first time in LA, visiting from Vancouver, Canada. The worker here was so nice, and the food was amazing! I already want to come back to LA just for the food and the exceptional service here.
