I ordered through Grub Hub. First got a notification right away that my order was delayed from the restaurant. Then, when it arrived, the drink in the combo was missing and the fries were ice cold. I was expecting more fries than I got. They kind of look like leftovers (photo attached). The chicken was okay. The spiciness was nice. Way too much mayo on the sandwich though.
Sat around while employees talked about Roblox , grown men . Waited 20 minutes for my food my bag was stapled so I didn’t check it until I got home and when I got home to see my order incorrect, so not only did they take their time on my food they also did it incorrectly. I called the manager of the store at the time and he laughed at my complaint I would never return to that place again. Overpaid for a chicken sandwich and extra sauce to get 3 chicken strips in a bag with awful employees it’s bad enough they work at a chicken place have some integrity about it at least.
This was my second time at this location. First time I ordered spice. So I got the 5 piece meal. It was good however it seemed very greasy. The fries were good, sauce plenty, chicken ok but wish it wasn’t soooo greasy. This was not the case the first time I visited. Staff was great got it to go … definitely open to a third chance
No frills chicken spot. Great spicy sandwiches for a good value. Their waffle fries are unbelievable. Sauces are great too.
Big juicy chicken sandwiches. I usually get level three which is the perfect amount of heat. I’ve been here many times and the food quality is always consistent. Staff friendly and aim to please. Great addition to Southside!
wishhhhh i could give them 0 stars. the older lady at the register took forever to complete the order ahead of us. he ordered fish but when it was our turn, she said “we aren’t doing fish tonight”. we pushed back on that because the guy in front of us literally just ordered fish & her coworker said “just let them get fish.” should never want attention from a male - or anybody for that reason, so badly that you cannot maintain the same level of professionalism across the board. ordered cheese - got no cheese. no greetings at the door, didn’t tell us the food was ready when we returned, just a terrible experience. Dear Lil' Chunky's Deluxe at Bird On The Run,
It's been 2 days since we've spoken or seen each other. When we were together, it felt so right. I miss the way I would hold you. I wish you knew how much you meant to me. Our last conversation was a bit spicy (Level 5), and I know this all my fault. I think about you all the time. Your pickled green tomato, bacon, chipotle mayo, cheese, and lettuce are always on my mind; but putting your chicken, soft buns, and egg in my mouth was the best thing that ever happened to me. I pray that one day we will meet again and things will be like they used to be. It was only when I was with you that I felt special and felt the love that words can't describe.
I will always love you and you will always have a special place in my heart.
But for real. The regular chicken sando is fine, but Lil Chunky's is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had and it's not even close. Level 5 or bust. Their fish sando is really really really good too. I had a few rough experiences when they first opened this location compared to the East Liberty one, but glad I gave them a 4th chance because the past few months they've been consistently good. Also happy this location has a fountain machine and more seating compared to East Lib.
i had an interesting and possibly supernatural experience while eating this chicken sandwich and walking down the street in winter 2022. here is a rendering of the exact moment of the experience. the staff here is friendly and nice and the sandwich was quite edible.
