My wife and i both had omelet's! She had a denver with grits that she said were nice and creamy and she said it was right on the money! I had a sausage & cheddar omelet with home fries and a biscuit! Omelet was very tasty, home fries were good but not crispy enough! But probably my fault bcause i didnt ask for them crispy! But didnt know theyd come out like busted up boiled potatoes but it was all good. I also had a biscuit with my meal it came nice and warm so the butter melted on it nicely. It was on the small size though. The service was excellent and the food came out fast! All the food we had was very tasty!RR
We found this local gem while at the VA clinic nearby. Choose it over the others we found on Google. Happy we did so.
We had breakfast or more like brunch for us. Both of us chose omelettes but they have roll-ups which sounded so delicious. Why order two breakfast dishes when you can share a third, ????.
Anyway, it's one of those places you are reluctant to tell anyone so you can get in easier. Judging by the late morning crowd...the secret is out!
Coffee is not the typical food service. They have a special brand and vendor. We think it's better than average. Water doesn't have the Florida swampy taste. All-in-all it is a new favorite for us. Recommend a side of cottage cheese with the roll-ups. Having just a little cottage cheese offsets the sweet. Creating a nice balance and enhancing the fruit flavors!!!
Billy's Cafe is a wonderful neighborhood diner serving breakfast and lunch.
They have that 'old time' service that made me feel like I was part of their family.
Our first time there. I had the biscuits & gravy with eggs, which I loved. Black coffee and a cinnamon bun finished out my breakfast.
I will be back next time that I am in the area!
Old style breakfast joint. Big portions. Nice staff a d delicious food.
Seated immediately at a clean table/booth, waitress came by our table within 2 minutes, the meal was served within 5 minutes of ordering, the food was good to very good, the waitress was extremely nice and made good recommendations, the atmosphere was as if I was back home at my local restaurant which says a lot. The restaurant was clean and well lit, to the best of my recollection there was no music, the restaurant was pretty much full the whole time we were there, the bathrooms were clean and well kept.
There was/were no negative experiences at this restaurant.
Will be back to dine again...
Good was great! I had the spinach and feta omelette, added tomatoes! My friends had a veggie omelette and a ham and egg sandwich. All were wonderful. Staff was so super friendly!! I recommend this restaurant and would be coming back!!
Perfect diner atmosphere. Food was good, hot and presentation was very good. We were there for lunch, and they also serve breakfast until close. The home fries at breakfast are actually fried and enough for 2 people or take out if you are a "leftover" type person.
Honestly if there was an option for 0 stars I would’ve selected it. The take out wait for 2 BREAKFAST meals was 30 minutes. I ordered grits and never got them. The home fries aren’t real, they’re large chunks of boiled potatoes and then seared in a skillet. Bacon was hard as a rock (overcooked). The French toast is just egg yolk dipped white bread you can find at your local dollar tree (no cinnamon either just plain egg dipped bread). And the icing on the cake was cutting my 2 undercooked eggs and finding plastic cooked into one on my first bite. I’m gonna just come out and say it, why is this place always packed?
