Stopped here in the middle of LONG day on the road (Chicago to Ft. Worth). Billy Bob's is a converted horse trailer at the check-in/rest area of a tractor/trailer yard. There are bathrooms and a little picnic area there. It's all very well maintained, clean, and with ample parking.
The key: the food is delicious! Among us, we had three types of sandwiches: steak, puller pork, and chicken. Everyone was impressed. We also tried some sides: beans, potato salad, and mac and cheese. Beans are KC style and amazing. Mac and cheese we think had a jalapeño flavor but weren't spicy. The potato salad was perfectly balanced.
Verdict: we will be back!
I normally don’t write reviews but this is absolutely THE BEST steak and cheddar sandwich I’ve had. The flavors on point, it’s cheesy and the steak is flavorful and tender and the Texas toast is nice n buttery????. Im from Texas and us Texans know bbq, never had a steak tender and juicy in the form of the sandwich
He definitely take care of you. And we definitely appreciate him being at this location. Brisket was perfect and steaks was well seasoned. Great sides and can't beat the price. Definitely grab a bite while wait.
I ordered the brisket, half rack and macaroni. Everything was tender and good. It's not spicy. A little heavy on the black pepper in the rub.
Macaroni was good but a little in the cool side. As a driver I would stick with the brisket as a meat choice because you can eat it with a fork and less clean up.
My only complaint would be no banana pudding. But they said they just didn't have the space. They do however have jalapeño cookies which are very good.
Cars been pulling up all day, I love that they surve breakfast. They close at 1500 unless they running the smoker. It's a food truck for cars and semis.
Over all I will be coming back.
He catered my daughter’s wedding yesterday and it was absolutely amazing!!!!!! EVERYONE bragged about how great it was and how nice him and his wife was. He went abound and beyond when no one else would. He is a #1 guy for your BBQ! Everything tasted perfect!! We had Brisket, Pork, Southwest Corn and Mac n Cheese! He made a special day a litlle more special!
No way me and wife are eating all this but we're sure as he'll gonna try..good stuff and plenty of it.
Let me tell you something, nice little spot some good ribs. The smoke Gouda on the mac & cheese has a nice little kick to it.
The best best Breakfast Burrito! Loaded with juice meat! I had a sample of their brisket and ribs, so juice and well seasoned no sauce needed! Thank you for a great BBQ accessible for the truckers!
