Big John’s is the perfect hometown place to eat. They are only open for breakfast and lunch during the week on Friday evenings. They are open from 5 to 7 for dinner. That is always when we go and it is awesome. Not open on Sundays.
The problem with this place is, they are never open, and by the time they do open, most of the breakfast hours are over. So many times I have wanted breakfast and they are clised. They don't open for breakfast until 8:00 and by then most people are at work. When they bouught the place from the old owners you could get breakfast at 5:00 in the morning and you could not find a place to sit. It takes awhile fore people to know your open, but the food and service is great, gor they are a great family to do business with. God bless.
Friendly service, food was kind of pricy though, but good and worth every penny!
Ordered take out, beef tips with rice, hashbrown casserole, pasta salad and a roll. Delicious as always.
Met a friend and her family for breakfast on our way through town. Good down home food and friendly service. Portions were large for the price, restaurant (including restrooms) were sparkling clean. Not disappointed at all!
Best food in Mt. Carmel. Have never had a bad meal there. I would typically never order chicken strips at a restaurant, but the ones they serve here are undeniably the best chicken strips I've ever eaten ????

The service was great but the double cheeseburger I ordered was dripping with grease, my bun was soaked, the onions were disappointingly small, the lettuce was wilted and looked pretty old, and it was missing the ketchup and mayo I asked for. The fries were noticeably fried too long and had no salt. The only good thing I got was the soda which I could get anywhere else.
