Best WLM Reviews
With many places to park within a couple of blocks, this is a good place for a great burger. It’s a casual, sit-down after ordering atmosphere that (probably) prides itself on great burgers. And they should. I’ve gone a few times now and always enjoyed my meal. Service is essentially ordering at the counter but has always been friendly enough. So far I’ve had the peppercorn burger (delicious) and the Mexican (also very good). And Parmesan truffle fries on the side.
Really good burger and fries. I got the Anniversary Burger bundle (fries and a drink) I was satisfied completely. My only drawback was that the bun became too squishy and the burger itself started to fall apart. I ended up finishing it using a fork and knife. Still super yummy but a drawback if I were to try and eat in the car. Drinks were from Maine Root, I got the Diet Cola it was good. There was also delicious sounding lemonade and juices but I personally prefer soda with a burger. The fries were shoestring style and had a really delicious Chipotle aioli. There was also a mini bar with tap beer and some delicious sounding mixed drinks but I wasn't able to enjoy them this trip. Will definitely be going back!
The Horseradish Bourbon burger was absolutely amazing! Horseradish was mild and not overpowering for a perfect balance with the meat and toppings. Service was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend this place for an awesome burger!
This place is decent but not worth the price. You could eat at a full service restaurant for the same price. The upscale Carlyle restaurant within walking distance charges about the same for a burger. Ridiculous.
My wife and I ordered an anniversary burger, a side of Brussels, a salad topped with a burger, egg, and bacon. Two tap waters. 48 bucks with small tip. Fast casual is out of control these days and I get it’s a nice area, but that is nuts. 5 Guys is WAY better and cheaper.
The burgers are made to order and thick. I will give them that, but I found the much lauded anniversary burger a little bland honestly. The Brussels were not cooked properly and drenched in a spicy/sweet sauce. I won’t return even though it’s walkable for us.
Hot Heffe Burger was delicious (cheese was oozing down the brioche bun). And the home brewed soft drinks were quite tasty (the Diet Mexican Cola and the Blueberry Soda were my favorites). Fries were crispy and seasoned. Fast service, and has Happy hour from 3-6pm (drinks off $1-2 and $2 sliders).
I went for the first time and had higher hopes, especially for the price. I had a burger and it was pretty good but some of the options are really expensive. I ordered Cajun fries, which cost around $1 extra for a bit of seasoning. The bad part was they were limp. They need to cook them a few seconds longer. I am a fan of their fountain drinks. Those are really good. I'll try them again but a second experience like the first and I won't make it a habit. The burger next door is just as good.
Great burger place with a large beer menu. Lots of options for toppings and delicious milkshakes. Menu includes “designer” burgers that they’ve concocted but you have the option to create your own.
Big Buns is in a quaint little area. Friendly service. Our burgers were delicious. Fries were crispy. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Virginia.
