We lucked out and were able to get ice cream a couple minutes before they closed at 4 pm. The girl was super sweet. Perfect ending to out spring break camping trip! ????????
I was completely turned off by the lady asking for our change of $5 for a tip for her "wedding / honeymoon" tip jar. As she was giving us our change, she said... "that is for the tip jar, right?"
Other than that, the ice cream was average and the location was great.
I wouldn't return though.
We stopped by for two chocolate lattes this morning. I wish we could say we loved it but it tasted like they poured day old black coffee that was burnt in our cups. Maybe their sandwiches and ice cream are good but the coffee we got was horrible. We threw it away, not even good enough to drink. The service was very friendly. We love supporting local businesses on our trips here maybe next time we will try the food.
We enjoyed the ice cream and Coke floats. Seems kinda crazy that they close at 4:00pm when the ferry is still running and packed. I bet we watched 20 people go to the window after they closed and we were on the 5pm ferry.
Weekday mid-afternoon and we wanted a latte or cappuccino. This was the only place on the island that appeared to offer that. Big mistake. $5 for a small cappuccino that tasted horrible. Took a few sips and threw it out. Another $5 for a cold drink. It’s a shame they can’t do better with the captive audience waiting for the ferry.
Bbq nachos were average; out of the can cheese and bbq sauce; didn't get jalapeños after asking twice for them. Beef gyros and Cuban panini were good enough; cheeseburger was frozen garbage.
Great little place to grab a quick bite, and it’s right next to the ferry. Had a burger and hot chocolate. Great for a cold day in January!
Need more training for cashier to understand tax and charge for credit cards. Never has mine been correctly rung up nor has the change been correct.
also maybe consider giving one napkin and ask if anything else since she forgets everything you asked for and has already closed the window.
