Great food & service. Will definitely eat there again. I had the 10 piece Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings and the Tomato Bread, my husband had the Sampler (Lasagna, 1 stuffed shell, 1 spinach manicotti, angel hair and meatballs topped with house made marinara and mozzarella, served with salad and garlic bread). For dessert, I had the Tiramisu which was delicious (unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the Tiramisu).
Used to be one my favorite pizza places in North Florida. The past 2 to 3 years this place has gone majorly down hill, the past 3 times I’ve been here I order ahead and when I show up on time to pick up my order it takes an extra 20-30 minutes for my pizza totaling in an hour or over and hour for one pizza. The pizza is way overpriced, used to be worth it but even pizza doesn’t taste good as it once was. It’s a a shame maybe they will see there flaws and rise back up to the pizza place it once was.
Delicious! The service was perfect, the atmosphere relaxed and inviting, the menu had a good number of Italian options without going overboard! I got a Stromboli that was downright gorgeous! The marinara on the side was some of the best I've ever had. My son got a calzone he said was perfectly cheesy with ricotta and mozzarella - just the way he loves them. He subbed bacon for the ham. Husband got a dinner plate that came with a nice side salad, angel hair pasta with sauce and meatballs, spinach and ricotta manicotti, and garlic bread. He can't wait to get that plate again! The portions were huge for a very reasonable price. None of us could finish our food and took the rest home for midnight snacks. ????
Don't let the building fool you. Definately worth coming inside. I am not a local but when I was in town someone said I had to try this pizza. At first glance I looked at the building and the simple interior and thought no way is this great pizza. But as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a wonderful friendly waitress who treated us like regulars and we sat town with a menu that actually had a great selection. So I opted for a variety pasta dish that had spaghetti and lasagna with garlic bread and salad. Yes. Spaghetti and lasagna. Lucky me right? Well, I must say the sauce had the right amount of sweetness and acidity and the pasta cooked to perfection. And to top it off they had a dessert special of cheesecake that made my entire day. It was so creamy and it melts in your mouth. So delicious. Definitely stop it and don't judge the building. It is definitely worth a night out.
After many years decided to give them another try, all I can say is it's consistent, pizza horrible, service horrible and atmosphere horrible dark and depressing. Don't waste your money!
Never again! $40 for 2 Stromboli (one was big- mostly dough and not cooked all the way, the other was small) and 5 mozzarella sticks (that are $9!!!).
I grew up in Melrose and spent roughly 30 years in the area. At one time, I helped cook pizza hereat Betty's in my 20's while also working at Sabos. From what I understand, ownership and management has changed many times. Our experience tonight was very disappointing as a long time resident of Melrose and the surrounding area.
We took 4 kids with us tonight and were celebrating the oldest kid's 21st birthday. We arrived right as a very large party and other smaller ones were being seated. We noticed there was only one server. We sat for 20 minutes before our drink orders were taken.
The server did the best she could with all the tables, but service was very slow. When the food did arrive, several of us were disappointed. When you go to a restaurant you expect the whole table to have their food ready at the same time, but ours came out at different times (4 kids and 2 adults).
I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and while the sauce was hot, the noodles were mostly very dry (I have videos) and the chicken tasted like it was from a can. I normally don't complain, but I cooked Italian food for over 13 years and this was such a let down from a long time favorite place. There were 3 full meals that were not eaten because of the poor quality.
I will return one day, but only for the pizza and Italian Fries which seem to be pretty good on a consistent level. Over $120 dollars for food that was disappointing and a "manager" who is apparently under 18 years old... wont be back for awhile.
Here I am after spending over $120 and I'm cooking Totino's pizza rolls since the pasta wasn't good.
Betty's used to be hit or miss years ago but over the past year or so it's been really good every time we order❤️ and I live in Melrose, so I get take-out quite a bit. Keep up the good work Betty's
