My friend is a trucker, so he came in to Detroit for the weekend. He parked his truck in the back lot of the Best Western Hotel. There was no issues no problems. The room was very clean the only issue I have with it is that their toilet is so low you will be struggling to get up off of it. Otherwise it was a great room.
I stayed here for a night while my truck was being worked on and it was a decent yet dated hotel. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very lumpy. There was a micro fridge, microwave, and flatscreen TV. Strangely, there was a bottle opener on the bathroom door frame. There is a guest laundry room, indoor pool, sauna, and on site restaurant. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. There also is plenty of truck parking here as well.
Stayed my first and last night on 4/28/24..I woke on 2/29 ,walked into the bath room , turned on the light and seen a roach crawling on the floor. At checkout I expressed my concern about this issue and asked if there was a manager there that I could speak with, I was told the manager was not there but a note would be placed on their desk and that they would call me.. Have not received any response from them at this time on 4/30..I didn’t expect to pay this much money for a room to wake up to bugs.Would not recommend this motel to anyone.
Another excellent stay at the Best Western Woodhaven! They have the nicest folks there, from the front desk and maids to the restaurant and the bar! Great food, too! Have not tried them, but the pool and sauna look great, too! Gonna use them next time I stay.||
My husband I have been going here for years just get a couple nights away from the kids. We get the Jacuzzi suite and Love it. Staff is friendly, rooms are decent and they have a bar and restaurant so that's nice too. Wish it would get updated a bit but overall we Love this place and never stay anywhere else.
Very, very nice hotel. I was surprised seeing the pictures, I live locally and had no idea it was here. This place is really nice. I rented a room cause I lost power during another snow storm, this room was reasonable enough, $120/night on Expedia, they do offer discounts but only if you book with them directly. The hotel itself is actually very well maintained and clean. The rooms are nice, pretty big, although my room didn’t have furniture other than the beds, desk and tv stand. One nightstand in between beds but no couch or chairs or anything. Staff at the front desk could’ve been a little nicer, she maybe was having a bad day but I wasn’t greeted and made to feel welcome. No matter, she isn’t staying with me, so I’ll not let her bad attitude ruin my opinion of this place.
They have a bar/grill inside the building and although I didn’t eat/drink here, it was a nice space from what I could see. It would be a lot of fun for a date night spot. They also had a couple of desktop computers and a scanner/printer if you should need such a thing. They also have a nice, clean, indoor pool and sauna. Both were in good condition.
The location is great, right off 75, so you’re only minutes away from the highway. There’s lots of shopping and eating in this area as well, so if you’re just stopping for the night on your way through to somewhere else, you’ll have a great selection of things to choose from, including grocery stores.
Bottom line, I was pleasantly surprised when we got here and saw how well the property is kept up. I saw their housekeeping staff working hard and their hard work definitely shows. Give these housekeepers a raise, cause I’ve been to many similar styled properties that suffered from staffing shortages and the result was a large hotel with dust in every corner. There are a lot of these types of hotels in the Detroit area around the airport. This is the nicest I’ve found at this price point and I would 100% come back here.
Stayed 1 night and decided to extend my stay one more night left the room around 8am and didn’t return till 4pm when I walked into the room no room Service had been done called the front desk to ask for it they said they all left at 3 and to come to the front desk for towels asked if we can just get another room that is clean and she said we would have to pay for it. Why would I have to pay for a mistake they made????
Great place to stay and looking forward to my next stay there! The staff is great and friendly, the rooms as well as the rest of the place is very well maintained and clean!!
