Best WLM Reviews
I got the biscuit sandwich, while my mom got the chicken and waffles, and a virgin Bloody Mary. The food was pretty good! My biscuit was soft but had a good flavor, and the potatoes were exceptional. The service and atmosphere were top notch. I’d go back. It was a little expensive too.
Our server Muhammad was great! He was very accommodating to our food preferences and the food came out fast. Everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere was amazing and very welcoming 10/10 recommend.
Ok this is a review requesting, begging to please, please go back to your original pancake recipe. The pancake used to be unbelievable, at $18 for one pancake it needs to be the best pancake you have ever tried and it used to be just that, a HUGE pancake that would melt in your mouth, an explosion of flavors with the softest most tasteful butter, moist and soaked in syrup. The pancake I ate today was not fresh, it was dry and almost hard, the batter was brownish so kind of like bread because it’s cooked on an iron skillet. I requested more syrup but still couldn’t finish it. I’m very disappointed, I drove 45 minutes just for the pancake and when I mentioned this to the staff I was told they were sorry but there was a new chef and he had changed the recipe. The other plate my husband ordered was ok, they did bring our food out very quickly and they were very nice but I came here for a pancake that I did not get. **Pictures below are from our previous visit in November**
This was our first time visiting this location and everything was great! Food, drinks, service, atmosphere was on point. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
Good place for brunch and cocktails. It's a bit pricy, but in line with other places in NW portland. Spacious interior with high ceiling and centrally located bar with seating.
Be aware that there is an automatic 22% surcharge added for groups of 6+, and groups of 8+ will need to make a reservation ahead of time.
The chicken and waffles I ordered came pre-syruped so it was a bit soggy with not enough syrup for the rest of the dish. The chicken had little flavor as well. I was disappointed too as there were only a few non-alcoholic/non-caffeinated options.
Surprised by all the glowing reviews; this had to be one of the most disappointing breakfasts we’ve had in town. Here are some key takeaways—
Poptart:
Don’t know what was with the poptart crust but the dough tasted like it was made with a weird fat of sorts, and just was not an appealing texture or taste by any means. Frosting was minimal and the filling was insignificant.
Pork belly bacon:
Not sure what happened here as well but it honestly tasted and looked not right from our dining and cooking experience; we didn’t dive into it.
Chorizo hash:
I was extremely disappointed here; the “chorizo” honestly just tasted like ground pork. The potatoes were cooked to my liking, texture/crispiness wise, and the eggs were done masterfully. But what was strange is the plate came to me at room temp, and honestly - lacked any type of seasoning.
Ambiance/interior:
Looks neat, love how light filled the space and the fixtures were great.
Service:
Nothing bad stood out here, we were serviced quickly, our food was quick to come to us and accurately, and they came to clean our plates and bring us our bill in a timely manner. Everyone was pleasant to speak with. Do wish we were given an option to pick a table to begin with instead of ushering us straight to the bar - especially when it was just opening and hardly filled to capacity by the time we left. I asked to seat at a table and they got us squared away somewhere more comfortable.
Overall - seems like a vibey and fun place to be maybe for a cocktail but breakfast was not the play.
I have never had such an amazing Eggs Benedict in my life! I had the crab bennies and my husband had the salmon. We went at 945am on Thursday. Made reservations but didn't actually need them as they had lots of space. We sat on the patio, it was a quiet and cool morning. The atmosphere was fantastic. The neighborhood was safe as it wasn't downtown. The servers were really nice and the food didn't take long to arrive. I wish I could eat here every day but a vacation always comes to an end.
