Thought i ordered eggplant parm but got catfished instead. They told me i was funny and a great guy but it was all a lie ????. Bread was super soggy and there was no basil
Recent reviews were concerning but it’s also hard to fault an establishment when the main cause for poor reviews is lack of staff. Thankfully we were given an excellent server who was extremely attentive, personable and the highlight of our visit to Bertucci’s…thank you Snizhana! Pizza, pasta and bread were great. Salads were giant. Gelato was 100x better than some we got in the north end the night before. Prices were reasonable. Would recommend based on our experience.
Pleasantly surprised with the meal we had at Bertucci’s at Newton. I usually set my expectations low for Italian chains but this one is worth trying.
A little caveat is we were hungry. Had skipped lunch so we took a somewhat early dinner. We sat near the bar and they had some unadvertised happy hour specials. Their Tuscan wings were perfectly cooked with a flavor of rosemary and garlic. Really good! We also tried their pizza for an appetizer and that hit the spot too. Their pastas were made well too. The red sauce they use tasted homemade and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. Would recommend the eggplant parmesan, rigatoni abruzzi and the shrimp Rossini. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the dishes came out steaming hot. Two thumbs up!
Service was attentive without being overbearing and the atmosphere was casual. Plus it’s at a very convenient location just off Route 90.

Scott did an excellent job at taking care of us. He was pleasant and consistent. It's worth getting the chicken in the Alfredo and the pizza hit all the right points.
Only had the bread, which was delicious. Wanted a burger but they didn't make those on the weekends. Sat at the bar, only one other patron. Service was very slow and inattentive
I've lived in this area my whole life. If you asked me about 10 years ago if the food was good here, I would say absolutely. Now a days? Do not waste your time. Many occasions my family has gone to this location, and everyone's food in our party was disgusting. It's your standard looking Bertuccis, but do not waste your time.

Was told 30 min wait turned out to be an hr wait and the host was also making pizzas without gloves. Super sanitary. Grabbing menus, seating people, then making pizza. Not to mention they sat 2 party’s before our party even when they arrived well after our party. Said there aren’t any seats and I walked around the whole restaurant and found about 10-15 tables empty. ????
