I must say that ever since the first visit, which was only a couple months ago, my 13 y.o. daughter and I were extremely pleased with the service (wash, treatment, cut and blow dry). I am so happy to have found a great place and person like Mary to do our hair from now on. She is very precise, knows what she is doing and takes her time to make sure we leave pleased every time. I also liked that Bertha purchases and uses good quality products as well as recommends and sells the products to use at home.
So just after a few visits and seeing how they work, today I decided to give it a try to bleach and dye my hair with Mary. I was not happy with how my hair color had turned out previously done at another hair salon. Mary was able to change the color to something I wanted and make my highlights look all even throughout. I am soooo impressed and beyond happy with my transformation! Both Bertha and Mary are both very professional and make you feel right at home. I would highly recommend anyone to try this place!!!
I came in and the owner showed me a hair style it was a short bob with a side swoop and asked if I wanted it I told her no and said I just wanted it straightened. She started the process and at the end asked if I wanted a trim and that she’d only take off a little bit I got up out the chair only to realize she had cut off 3 inches of my hair and cut it into a bob anyway I honestly felt like she just wanted to try the hair style out on me without my consent and I'm not a test dummy. Lady literally gave me a hair cut after saying she would trim it. This is the last time I got a trim vs this time literally took off mad of my hair.
Bertha’s Hair Salon is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and makes me feel comfortable during every visit. My hair has done a complete 360 since trusting it in the care of Bertha and her assistant Mari. I am beyond satisfied with my experience and highly recommend Bertha’s Hair Salon to anyone looking for fabulous hair and fantastic service.
Do not go here to get braids!! She is terrible! I felt like she was practicing on my babies hair! Then she tried to say it was because my daughter had split ends which is nuts! My daughter is African American and has corse hair! This made me sick! Anyone who has gotten their hair done or does hair knows this is unacceptable idk who’s hair this lady has done and they were happy cuz this is nuts!! So many imperfections in the braids and the ends are all different lengths some braided to the end some not just a hot mess!!Never again !!normally I would have cut up but I have grown…I did say something but in a nice way but we will never go there and I don’t recommend this place to black women!! Especially if your hair is corse!! Maybe she is use to people with straight hair or Dominicans!! She lucky!! Oh an it was 180!! Yea she got that one for free
So I read your response and yes I did leave for 2 hours because I couldn’t sit there and watch it anymore!! You left out that her hair was half “done” when I looked at it and it was already 6pm and she had been there since 3.. I thought I was being nice but u right I should have taken her out that chair! Because I AM A BRAIDER I said I would redo myself as she had pictures the next day!!! An the pictures that I took was directly after her hair was done!! You and her have no idea how to braid if so a black woman hair as I watched you blow dryer another woman’s hair!!!! I definitely no what I’m talking about an make sure I tell anyone and everyone not to go there!! Open for years???? Idk how …ur husband must be putting money in!! She sucks and you do too for your stupid response!!!
My daughter went to this salon yesterday and Bertha cut off half of her hair! She was upset and crying to me! She told BERTHA she only wanted a trim and she didn’t listen. As soon as my daughter walked into the salon Ms.Bertha asked if she wanted a bob and she said NO! But guess who didn’t listen? BERTHA. This is so sad. She listened to the Spanish girl when she said she only wanted a trim but didn’t listen to the Black girl. This is disgraceful.

Hands down best salon I’ve been to. I have very long thick hair and they were amazing and did not complain or charge extra for my amount of hair. They also take the time to make sure every style is beautiful and will last. They use products to protect and keep your hair healthy.
This salon is Amazing!! I took a chance by coming here and we’ll was it worth it !!!! They are so sweet and kind and make you feel family from the second you walk in. I have thin damage hair and they are giving my hair love and bringing it back to life! They are using this wonderful product designed from noah! This line of products is doing wonders on my hair with only the second treatment!
This place is professional , clean and makes you feel comfortable! This salon offers make up and facials as well! Great experience definitely recommended for any type of hair !! Take the chance like I did I’m sure you will be satisfied.
