Best WLM Reviews
Pleased with the food, drink selection and atmosphere.
I always get the special and it didn’t disappoint. The spicy sausage dish was above expectations. My wife had the chicken parm and had the feel of homemade. Kid had the wings and no complaints from a fairly picky eater.
A solid go to in Valdosta.
If 1 word could sum up our experience, it would be AMAZING! Lanier was our server and he was beyond phenomenal even though they were pretty busy. He was attentive and a joy! The food was excellent! It met our expectations and beyond. My husband got the swordfish and neither of us have ever had it. It was awesome. The greens were like no other we have ever had and the double fried wings and OG salad were fantastic as well. We will go back and had a wonderful experience!
My daughter brought me here for Mother's Day! Surprisingly, it was not crowded, which was great! The food, the service, and the live music were all great! I tried the Red Snapper meal, which was good, but a bit overpriced. I felt like it should've came with 2 sides instead of 1. My daughter had the Lemon Garlic Shrimp dinner, which was good, too! Also, 1 recommendation I would make is for the staff to clean the ceilings, especially where customers are sitting, more often. There were 3 spiderwebs over and near our table. I did show our waitress and she said she'd let the manager know. Other than that, it was a nice time!
The atmosphere and service was awesome! The Salty Snapper combines price-sensitive dining, fresh seafood, a casual atmosphere and live music all in a single large venue. Nautical elements reinforce the seaside theme. They offer live music on their patio every Thursday through Sunday! See Their Facebook Page for the artist line-up each month! Every Monday they have TRIVIA on the Patio @ 7:00 p.m. Every Wednesday they have KARAOKE on the Patio @ 6:30 p.m.
The food was fabulous and plentiful for the price! My wife had the "best shrimp and grits I've had". Raw oysters are absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite dishes! They usually have 5 selections, so you can have your choice of small, medium, or large and then of course creamy or briny. Of course, my absolute favorite, Tuna Poke. If seafood isn’t your thing, no worries, there are plenty of other scrumptious items on their menu.
We will certainly return when we are in town!
I thought the food was great. I ended up with the lasagna. The sauce and meat had great flavor. Nice live music outside on the covered patio. Service wasn’t good but there did seem to be just a little confusion happening. Id go back for sure.
The Chicken Parmesan was excellent. Very juicy and a big portion. Salad was just ok, kind of overpowered by the olives.
Only thing I really didn't like was that it smelled like cigarette smoke even inside the restaurant.
The food and drinks were delicious!! Hayden the Bar Manager provided exceptional service!
My wife and I went out for a date night and decided to try The Salty Snapper. We started with the crab cakes and tuna carpaccio. Both were delicious, the crab cakes were not fried like we had expected but were truly crab cakes and not a little bit of lump crab with a lot of fillers. The tuna carpaccio was sliced perfectly and the aioli complemented it wonderfully. My wife had the fish and chips with an added order of shrimp and I had the namesake Salty Snapper. She said the fish was very good and the cheese grits were the perfect side, the shrimp were amazing. The snapper came out fried just right, flavored very well, and the vegetable of the day (sauted kale and tomatoes) ,was fresh and a great paring. The service was phenomenal. Hayden may be one of the best servers we've encountered in Valdosta. She was quick to get our drinks and keep them filled, explained the daily specials and answered any questions about the menu, and gave some great recommendations. I know we'll be back for dinner again and we will definitely ask to be seated at one of her tables.
