Best WLM Reviews
The food was amazing, the person who served us was friendly and asked if we were visiting / how the food was. It wasn’t too busy, and honestly it was the cheapest meal I ate in D.C.!
Food really nice and portions big. Didn’t regret choosing this place based on the google reviews! The atmosphere is very homey and simple. Had to wait for some time to pay though, in the end went myself to the cash desk to pay.
I got the pollo frito with tostones on the side and a little pickled slaw on top. It was delicious - reminded me of how my grandma fried chicken. Crispy and flavorful. The tostones were crispy too. I just wish you got one more piece of chicken for $18. Overall, totally worth it.
Got lucky to walk past this place and stop in. Sat outside at the picnic table. Looks like a counter service place but we were surprised by a very nice waiter to take our order. Food was outstanding! There was a steady flow of locals and construction workers picking up take out and eating inside at the few available seats inside. It was clearly the place to eat! The best salsa and guacamole we have ever had, served with warm tortilla chips. We tried birria tacos, plantains and enchiladas Hondurenas. Will be back!
This was such a great place! Food was delicious! We ordered “sopa de res” and “pescado frito con tajadas”. Oh, the chips and salsa were so good and fresh!
I’ve been wanting to come here for a while because I am from Honduras and there aren’t many Honduran food spots in DC. It’s a small space but we were lucky enough to get a table for 4. The waitresses were very sweet. It did take a while, once we were done, for them to come check on us to provide the bill but that is my only slightly negative comment. The food was absolutely delicious! The table shared chips and guacamole. I got the cheese pupusa and beef empanadas. The empanadas were hands down the best I’ve ever had! I also love all the Honduran art they have hanging around the restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!
Such a hidden space you wouldn’t notice it. The space is small in seating but worth the visit. Ordered a chicken milanesa torta and baleadas which are tortillas filled with refried beans, crema, eggs, avocado, and you can also add meats if you want. Definitely check it out was our first time there. The server was super friendly. The only thing I was not a fan of was the horchata. Did have a water down taste with sugar flavor my fiancé enjoyed it though. You may like it too but it is all up to you if you decide to try it. I give them a five stars for the food flavor.
This place really surprised me. Looking through the front window it seemed very small inside. So glad I gave it a chance though. The people inside were super pleasant and welcoming. It's been a long time since I had fried plantains. Delicious. I'll wait for the food was a little longer than expected. The food made up for it though. The prices were good since we got a very large portion. My only real warning is that they don't have bathrooms. If you're in the area you should stop by.
