Atmosphere- This is located in Reagan International Airport. I guess this place is a well known place in the DC area. It has a 50s diner vibe. It was a bit dirty and needed some tidying up.
Service- guy behind counter wasn’t the friendliest and kind of hard to understand.
Food- I got the spicy half smoked hot dog. It was pretty good. Not the best hotdog I ever had but not bad at all. I would try this place again for a quick eat.
The spicy half smoked chili dog was pretty good and simply wanted to try one. The restaurant was a little dirty and needed cleaned up, but that could be because it’s popular and quite busy. The service was just average.
The rice bowl: a hearty meal for an airport to be sure. The rice was a little dry, didn't seem very fresh. I liked the chili fine and it's nice to have some fresh chopped tomatoes and onions on top along with the cheese. Pretty average overall. Cashier was brusque and hard to understand. The restaurant has the 60s diner theme that works well.
Delicious chili burgers/dogs, and fries! Good place to stop at the DCA airport. Home of the famous DC half smoke!
Maybe I was just super hungry but my burger was amazing and the strawberry milkshake was so good. The fries were good, like regular fries, but all of us liked our food and it was filling right before our almost 6 hour plane ride back home. We did not take a chance on eating chili right before that flight lol. A little pricey, but it’s in the airport, so it’s whatever.
We got a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin and a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel, with a coffee for a little over $23. The sandwiches were bigger than I expected. They were good. The restaurant was clean and the woman taking orders was polite. I’d eat here again if I was at a nearby gate.
The burger was pretty good, not the best I’ve taste, the meat could use more seasoning (then again a I am from the south so my taste is different). But the chili and cheese fries were not good. It was too lose and not thick enough.
I will try their chili next time - it may burger and bowl of chili next time.
Stopped in for breakfast, reasonably priced with options for those of us who make adjustments to most of their meals. Service was good and prompt. Table we used had sticky milk shake that appeared to be from the day before (it was 7a and it didn’t wipe when I used a napkin). Hot chocolate was least expensive I’ve bought but was boiling hot and tasted awful.
