Found this restaurant on Google. They serve Italian and Afghan food which is a unique combination. I read that the owner used to live in Italy and they're Afghani. I have never had Afghan food before. We ordered Qabili Palau (seasoned lamb shank topped with delicately seasoned basmati rice, carrots and raisins) and Tri-color cheese Tortellini with meatballs. Lamb shank was so tender and fell off the bone and their spaghetti sauce was very creamy and delicious. Their food is also حلال. We will definitely come back because we had amazing lunch and we wanna try other dishes!
Great place to try Afghan food.
There are several options that you can choose from. We tried three different items from the menu and they were all very good! We also tried baklava as dessert and it was delicious.
One interesting thing is that this restaurant offers both Italian and Afghan food. Patrons were eating one or the other the night we went.
The service was attentive and very informative. The restrooms were very clean. Parking available in front of the restaurant.
I was confused by the Italian name, but they do offer both Italian and Afghan food. Apparently the owners lived in Italy and also are from the Afghan region, so that helps it make more sense. Nice to be able to try some new food and it was very good. Family owned and run restaurant. We will be back!
I have a food allergy so I'm always cautious when going to try new places, and let me tell you how amazing the service and food here is!!!!! I called first and the waitress said she knew some items had my allergy but she was very nice and said she could help me go over the menu! We got there and looked at both the Italian and the Afghan menus and she truly did go over each option with me and answered my questions! Now the food: my husband LOVES a good piece of lamb and he was so impressed with how it was tender and tasty! Also that rice mixture it comes with is delicious! I would absolutely recommend this meal! My husband loved it so much so he wants the recipe ???? The mantu dumplings I got were so tasty and flavorful with a nice surprise heat to them! 10/10! Lastly we finished the meal with these delicious cannolis with marzipan that were mouthwatering and such a delight!
Absolutely go check out Bellísimo!
They serve afghani, Persian and Italian food. It was a pleasant experience trying afghani kabuli pulao. The lamb was perfectly cooked and came out of the bone. Chapli kabab also tasted really good. The price is very reasonable and serving size is also quite big. Recommended for medium size groups. Very clean. They also do catering and delivery.
Loved my experience here. The owner is such a great chef and lovely lady. She came out to tell us about the Afghan food we were eating. The flavors were just so incredible. This will definitely be on my to go to list for the future as I also want to try more dishes there as well as the Italian food too. Her husband was a chef at Vincenzos for 17 years.
Was in the area and heard Bellissimo had great Italian Food, but instead we tried the Afghan dishes.
We were glad we did.
The Matuu (Photo 1)dumpling were fantastic. Very flavorful and stuffed with minced beef and spices. Had a little kick to them but really good . Reminded us of pot stickers.
We had Bolzano (Photo 2) stuffed flat bread filled with potatoes and was served with a green mint dipping sauce that was very flavorful.
We also had the Baja Borani (Photo 3) which was a sautéed eggplant. Very tasty dish and was served with flat bread.
We would defiantly go back just for the Afghan dishes.
We spoke with the owner and she said that all the Italian pasta is made in-house. Her husband worked at Vincenzo’s for 15 years.
This is a family ran restaurant. Very clean inside and very good service. Portions are large and they were accommodating so we could share the dishes. A must try place.
This was such a fantastic meal. We got the aushak, bolani, and mustard chicken, all were delicious. The mustard chicken was tangy but rich and balanced; dumplings were light and flavorful, the flatbread was crispy w a great sauce. Friendly staff and owner too.
