We ordered catering of Mexican food for a rehearsal dinner. The presentation ( including a unique serving table) was perfect. Jorge and an assistant cooked and served food to our guests. Everyone loved the food ( and we enjoyed all of the leftovers)! We would definitely consider catering again and highly recommend Bella Vista!
Great Mexican food! Ordered nachos with chicken and guacamole for starters. The red sauce on the table had a real good kick to it. Then had the chorizo taco dinner. Jorge the manager added a grilled habanero ????️ when I asked for more spice. Delicious!! Jorge was super nice and was great to talk to. No alcohol but they had a great variety of Mexican sodas and drinks. Will be coming back again!!!!
Nestled between Route 31 and Elmwood Court, Bella Vista emerges. It boasts a red and gray exterior with colorful signs on the windows. Inside it's adorned with all sorts of Mexican inspired memorabilia. It definitely has that authentic Mexican restaurant feel when you walk in.
The tacos were tasty. Definitely some of the better tacos I've had within the area. You'll get a double tortilla, a big portion of meat, and a nice ratio of toppings. I noticed the cut of onion was ever so slightly bigger than what I normally see, giving more of a crunch, which I didn't mind.
Though it might not look like it, they also have a drive thru. It's not 100% obvious, even though they have a pretty large drive thru sign haha. The set up is interesting. There's no divider between the drive thru lane and parking spaces so it just looks like a big lot. Also, no intercom, you just drive up to the window, they take your order and then drive around to the opposite side of the building, where there is another window, where you pick up.
Overall, the tacos were good, service was good, and definitely worth making the trip if you're looking for good tacos and an authentic dine-in experience.
We ordered food for an anniversary celebration with about 35 people. We thought it was wonderful! Everything was excellent quality and the taste was delicious. Very generous portions, so we are enjoying the leftovers. The rice pudding was creamy and sweet with the lovely mango tang. The fresh cilantro, lime, lettuce, onion and tomatoes added so much. The steak was a big hit. Excellent chicken and vegetable options too. And both homemade salsas (red and green) are delicious, with just the right spice. Crispy and tasty chips too. Will definitely use them again!

Stopped by on my semi to this little place on my way to deliver a load to McHenry and it was one of the best choices I made today. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a really nice lady that took my order. I got 4 tacos de carnitas and I had to try the birria ones so I got 1 of those. And to be honest, they were really good!!! I love really far from here but I'm going to take.the drive with the whole family when I'm off that's how good the tacos were. Thank you guys for the great food and even better customer service! Highly recommended!!
We had a graduation/ birthday celebration and my friends and family really enjoyed the food! My guests also said the setup was very nice too! The service was excellent!
Tortas (La Bomba and Chilanga) and quesadilla were delicious! Carnitas burrito was just ok. Ordered delivery and the tortas actually held up decently. Barbacoa was a good value as well.
