Let me start off by saying that this is probably the best Cuban sandwich that I've had. There's a sweet Cuban couple that run this little place and they are justifiably proud of their food. My girlfriend and I went in and the wife greeted us warmly. She offered us a little sample of what she had that day. We tried the beef, chicken and the pork. The beef and chicken were really good but that pork was amazing. So tender and delicious. We ordered a couple of Cuban sandwiches and my girlfriend got an order of rice and beans. The Cuban sandwiches were a good size with plenty of that delicious pork inside. Honestly the ratios of the ingredients were perfect as a Cuban is supposed to be. Way too often you get a Cuban sandwich and the ratios are off and you don't get that balance of flavors between the pickles, ham, pork, cheese, and mustard. A lot of Cuban sandwiches out there also use pretty dry pork. At Belki's, the juicy shredded marinated pork made the sandwich so tasty that it took a lot of will power to save the other half of the sandwich to keep from getting too full. Anytime we visit SW Florida we try to look for really good local food that we can't readily find in CT. Belki's is definitely the place that we'll go to when we want Cuban food for lunch. I'm definitely going to end up having dreams about that pork ????
I just ate the best sandwich I've ever ever had! 9 ounces of meat on a 9 inch chunk of Cuban bread, nice and crispy on the outside, the cheese was melted, the meat was hot, and.....I just can't believe how incredibly good this Cuban sandwich was.
I also had one of their little potato torpedo looking things, papas rellenas, I believe. Crunchy on the outside, inside is mashed potato that is wrapped around some spicy beef filling. It was a very cool snack, for sure! I'll probably never get back this way, as I am from the midwest, but if I do, for darn sure I'll be stopping back in here.
I did read the reviews that said it was in a convenience store/gas station, but in my head I thought it meant that it was in the building of former convenience store/gas station, but it really IS inside a gas station store. You walk in the door and the food area is to the right. Ring the bell if the wonderful owner is not in view. It's a simple menu, very fast service, and just spaced on two things I had, I imagine everything else is incredibly good.
There is a seating little area outside in the back, but otherwise it's take it with you.
Absolutely worth the detour off the highway!!
Some here are saying it's the best Cuban sandwich in the world and I am now a believer! Some of the best food in general I've ever had. Top notch (and the sweet lady making it made us feel like we were at her home)
If Google had a 6 or 7 star I'd pick it.
Do NOT let the rundown exterior deter you from trying this place. The food was so good! They let us sample all the meats before we picked one.
Our 1 year old HATES meat, and he LOVED the meat they had. Seriously, do not skip this place.
The Cuban sandwich is authentic and so amazing. The plantains were amazing.
Awesome little place, we got to sample the meat while waiting for our Cuban sandwich and will definitely be coming back to try it all.

Don’t let the fact that this is located inside a gas station deter you. Food was absolutely fantastic, authentic Cuban cuisine. Added bonus, the owners are super friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere near Venice. We got the Cuban sandwich, Picadillo and a empanada. 10/10
RUN THERE NOW!! Don’t let the fact that it shares space with a gas station scare you. You’ll miss the best food you’ve ever had. Unbelievably good food. Most flavorful, tender pork I’ve ever had. My uncle got a Cuban sandwich and that was out of this world as well. Run by the sweetest, Cuban couple. Very friendly and welcoming. I’m from Michigan and this is the best food I had on the entire trip from Michigan all the way to Florida.
Best Authentic Cuban food in Florida! Extremely friendly with mouthwatering food! This will be a frequent stop for me to pick up food for myself and friends! Loved it! Another customer was literally dancing to the door with her order! That's how good it is!
