I called a taxi to take me from Greene Street in downtown BEAUFORT to the Stokes. Used car location on 170. When we got to the location the Meter showed $12. When I went to pay with a $20 bill and asked him for change, he told me that it’s a minimum $20 charge per ride regardless of where you go. There’s a small sticker on the meter that says that but I was not notified of this policy when I entered the taxi. I will never ever use them again.
My wife tried to prearrange (and pay) for 3 rides to/from a variety of my appointments today. I’m still in long-term rehab for stroke recovery. when the first cab did not show, at first location/time, my
wife called again to try to try to troubleshoot with them. They talked to her rudely and blamed her for confusing them with TOO MUCH information/too many details! So she and I were both offended at the end of the process. I cannot recommend the company to anyone I know due to this Regrettable experience! Perhaps I need to start a new transportation service in town!
Very hit and miss. One driver was very friendly and considerate, the next was the rudest jerk driver I’ve ever met. Though we were very polite and friendly to him, He was exceptionally rude. It was a very unpleasant experience. What a terrible way to treat your customer.
I called early in the morning and will answer the phone. I explain to him that I needed to get to the airport. I had ordered a uber car paid for it
, they gave me a confirmation but they didn't show up . so I was already running late ....so he radioed the other driver on there 1980s radio phone. which I thought was cool he got me there on time and I made my flight thx good job ???????? ✈️
Don't mess with these guys. I called for a ride from Gray's Hill to a motel in Beaufort and they wanted to charge me $100. It's exactly 5 miles. The owner of this taxi service is obviously on crack. I ended up getting a Uber instead which was $15.67
I called to pre book a taxi to the airport for this afternoon and he asked for my credit card info before the address pick up and drop off location addresses. I said don’t you need my pick up and drop off area first, and he said no I need your card info first, I then sent it over to him over the phone and he continued to be rude asking me where I was with a attitude (I called the evening before and he said the total for the trip would be $200 and then when I called back in the morning he said it would be $220 and I said oh last night when I called you said $200? From that moment on he became more hostile. He asked if I was on an island (I’m somewhere I’ve never been for my best friends baby shower, so I was looking at a map to figure it out what area I was in) and then he continued to be rude, and I asked “why are you being so rude” he then said to never come back to Beaufort and that he would refund me and then instead double charged me. $400!!! And no ride to the airport. Do not recommend, SCAMMER!
I initially like the business. But after today I highly dislike it. very unprofessional and rude. Then tired to charge me 250 from Beaufort to Savannah when I can pay Uber for $62. Now I see why there business is going out of business
The fact that we were able to reserve a ride to the airport for the next day was what we needed (called the number and talked to someone) unlike uber. They are sparse for the area. Flat rate from Beaufort to Savannah Airport was 200 (steep), but for peice of mind, and great conversation from the lady we had was worth it.
