Best WLM Reviews
This place has a great atmosphere and fills up fast, so booking ahead is important. The brunch options are diverse and all delicious. We ordered steak and egg, and the lemon pancakes. Don’t miss out their fresh juices — I tried the mango, orange and pineapple and it was great! You can also try to find a spot in the bar for a casual breakfast or lunch. As I stated in the Aloft hotel and they are connected, I went for a coffee and a tea a couple of times, and I sat in the bar. Plus, the location is perfect for exploring Downtown Chicago.
Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. The pistachio covered whitefish, chicken Bebe, and burgers were very good. We also enjoyed the chicken meatballs and the Caesar salad. We were seated near the back of the restaurant which is connected to a hotel lobby. I docked a star for atmosphere for that reason. I didn’t care for that. Otherwise the food was above average and we didn’t wait long for it to come out.
Beatrix is an awesome place for any meal in Chicago. Owned by Lettuce Entertain - they had great options for celiac - gluten free customers. We loved the breakfast so much we came back here three days in a row. The ham and cheese croissant was excellent, the mustard they served with it really elevated the plate. The avocado toast is one of the best I’ve had - perfect ratio of avocado and toppings to the thick piece of bread. I got it with a side of fruit and the fruit also had a great assortment. The star of the dinner for me was the lemon garlic chicken. The fries were warm and came in a Greek style with feta. Overall you can’t go wrong eating anything here, definitely check them out!
We had to wait a bit for our table, but it was worth it. Food came quickly, and everything was very tasty. The chia pudding was 10/10. The service was excellent. Great place for brunch. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
I had a spicy chicken and honey sandwich with a fried egg. It was decent, but the chicken was dry which left very to be desired. Not sure if I just was there on an off day or what. Id be willing to go back but would maybe try something else.
Great place to have a brunch, they were careful about allergies and intolerances. They have vegan cookies and donuts. The avocado toast with scrambled eggs was amazing! Unfortunately the hazelnut mocha was too sweet, no flavor at all, just sugar :(
Dynamite food. Vibrant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast burrito is among the best I've ever had. Also check out the mushroom teriyaki bowl. Good cocktail menu as well. Service can be a bit slow in the morning so be prepared if you are in a hurry. Takeout coffee and baked goods as well.
Exquisite. Every moment was exquisite. We attended for brunch on memorial day, expecting it would be too busy or possibly less attentive from staff but we couldn't have been more wrong. The place was exceptionally busy but the staff were so attentive and attuned to anythig we could have needed. We got the fluffy lemon pancakes were exactly that, fluffy served with a sweet with a slight tang. We also got the Shakshouka, just past mildly spicy and evened out by the poached eggs and feta with the crunch of the kale for a textured taste. The last dish we got was the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Simple sandwich with perfectly cooked components. The egg was light and fluffy, bacon was crispy and cheese was melted to a tee. Accompanied by a devious sauce that was the ideal compliment. We got 2 sides of hash browns, I like mine salter, which these were but was amazing with the sauce of the Shakshouka. Lastly we got some mimosas and espresso martinis. The mimosas were the right balance of prosecco and orange juice. The espresso martinis had a beautiful kick of caffeine and very smooth. We would be here every weekend if we weren't visiting for a few days. I couldn't recommend Beatrix on River North enough. An absolute must try.
