Best WLM Reviews
Nicole our server was absolutely delightful!! The food was delicious, I got fish and chips and my friend got the quesadilla. Packed with flavor and fun. Beautiful view of the beach from the restaurant. Also got a beachcomber sweatshirt, super soft and good quality.
Having been to this place many times decades ago, we had to revisit and see what the place has turned into. After reading about all the 5 star reviews we had to check this place out. I can understand the views having 5 stars but the food and access -no. First of all they are very selective at who they allow into the restaurant. When we arrived there was a boy guarding the gate at the front of a long driveway of a coastal residential area. We had to pay him $20. for parking in exchange for a coupon to use at the restaurant. Ok, so this was not bad but what was disappointing was that when we drove down the driveway and saw the place and tiny parking lot we all but burst out laughing. The restaurant is basically a fast food stand (not very sanitary) with some seafood but mainly caters to a teen crowd, one that is very privileged, and arrogant and think they own the place. There were some older people there suspected of being the parents or perhaps some of the ones who have aged with the place just boozing on the patio. We were afraid to eat there so just used the coupon for a souvenir. Honestly, we were not impressed and if you have any disability this place is not for you. The walk to the beach is down a steep sandy angle (no decking or walkways) and the return is the same. So, the resulting review is: it's great for teens of a foo foo class otherwise there are so many other nice places to visit and eat. This was definitely a blast from the past when it was free to go walk on the beach and grab a burger, but seeing it now was sad it had turned into private little country club on the beach that is about 2X4. Not what it used to be.
Our experience is with the restaurant and we like the history of the building. Some of the benches were too tight to the table for people to squeeze into. Being fixed position a booth made it difficult to even access our table. The menu could use some more attraction. It can be loud inside so anyone with a sensitivity for that should come prepared. Overall the experience is delightful with good weather. It's right on the beach and could be windy as well. Parking lot could use a little better direction as well. One way to the right, just go slow.
Definitely lived up to the hype! We stopped here for lunch on the way up to Provincetown. We arrived right before it opened, and people were already lined up to get in. We were charged $30 for parking, but then given a voucher to put that $30 towards our meal. We were seated immediately and the food came out fast. Everything was delicious - the oysters, lobster roll and fish and chips were all very tasty. It was nice to be able to sit outside and then walk over to the beach after our meal. I would highly recommend it!
Went last day of season, the fish Sammy and fried scallops were very good, but raw oysters were the best I've had in a very very long time. Bought a very nice long sleeve Beachcomer shirt as well! Our fave spot on the Cape
Fun casual atmosphere. Great casual seafood (shrimp tacos). But: there’s no view except maybe a little from the bar, parking is very hard to get, it’s not fine dining and more like a fun bar with good food.
Remember, you share a tiny parking lot with a popular local beach. When it’s full, it’s full. Tip: come after 2 PM on a week day. Swimmers and lunch diners start to leave.
The location of this bar is breathtaking. From the actual bar, you won’t see this view but it is about 100 feet from the edge. Went with a group of friends for dinner. Parking is $30 but they give you a voucher that you may use towards your dinner/ tab. Figure they do this so it does not congest the parking lot because it is very limited. Tuna was fantastic. Friends had the lobster and said that it was an 11/10. They close for an hour, and reopen for the bar scene. We decided not to stay because they did have a cover, but it looked like it was packed as we were leaving. Seemed like it would’ve been a great time, but just nothing surrounding this area.
Last year we ate here and we had our friendly 4 lbs dog with us. We where seated in the bar area which was great. Food was great
Today we went with our little dog and were told we had to order at the outdoor window and stand at high top tables with no chairs on the side porch facing the parking lot. At least they could put picnic tables there. This restaurant should not be listed as PET FRIENDLY because it is not... I was looking forward to eating here.
