Best WLM Reviews
Update: Below
Tried this place located at the Oceanfront- Virginia Beach for lunch. Prices were the only thing decent. But also remember you get what you pay for. I got the lamb gyro combo and my order was wrong. But I didn't complain I just ate it anyways because I had to wait at least 15mins for my order and the food was pretty bland and basic. They only give you a handful of fries and you can almost count them. I will try something else next time. They have alot of options on the menu.
On my revist I order the 2 slice pizza combo and I must say the slices were huge and pizza was good. Still was waiting for 20 minutes but I expected that.
Burned my pizza and told me to get a smaller size for less crispy crust. So I did and they still charged me for the 22” large pizza I original ordered instead of the smaller pizza size. Refused to correct the bill. I wouldn’t recommend.
I got the buffalo chicken pizza and the jalepeno popper bites. The jalepeno poppers were very good and nice and hot when it arrived. The cheese on the pizza was good. It was a bit on the salty side, but we enjoyed it.
I’ve literally eaten gas station food better than what I received from this place. Undercooked (soggy) fries, a Caesar wrap with wilted, hot lettuce and a “fried shrimp platter” that looked and tasted like it was microwaved from frozen.
There are reasons why I am giving this pizza restaurant an okay review and they are as followed:
1. They couldn’t give me the chicken soup because it hadn’t been de-thawed from the freezer; thereby, indicating that their soups are not freshly made OR that they reuse restaurant made soup the next day.
2. The marinara dip is not thick but watered down.
3. I entered the establishment right when no other customers were in the restaurant and was not greeted at all.
4. There is nothing special about the pizza sauce. It tastes generic and store bought. But in this case, bought from a distributor instead of in-house made.
5. The dough was textured and baked well. No additional seasoned butter was added so it tasted just like regular pizza bread.
6. New York City’s $1-$2 quick pizzas are a greater value but contains better flavor and taste.
7. Pepsi was not fizzy and watered down when it came to my table.
8. Good news is that they serve plant-based sausage. Bad news is that they don’t know how to prepare & cook it properly with precision.
9. Poorly constructed salad and poorly tasting Caesar dressing.
I didn’t try everything on the menu but nor will I.
Don't know what's going on but prior to covid this place was a secret treat. Walking in you could smell the yummy. Fresh dough, great olive oil and garlic. All the food was fresh and quality. No frozen and the best. They even knew to use sweet onions not " just
onions" the Size of the veggies on the pizza were perfect. Sauce was perfect. The garlic knots were so flipping good!!!!! Then after covid I think it was sold. It was awful. I've Been a few times since it changed hands. My kids just remember pre 2019 Bella. Anyways I went today
and realy didn't want to. I told my kids. This is it. It's not cheap anymore and last time the calzones were under cooked dough with way too much cheese. No garlic No olive oil. Just gross. Today the service was top notch and the food is a huge improvement. Not 2019 good but I huge relief as it's a block from. My house and my kids want pizza 1x a week. The original bell saw us 1-3 times a week. So I. Not positive but I think it's been sold again. The Italian music and outside tables are nice. I will say the place is nicer looking than 2019. Almost 5 stars.
Vegan food blogger here. The vegan options are trash. The employees are knowledgeable on vegan products. I ordered a vegan cheese pizza for my kids and a plant based meat lovers for myself and the meat lovers had 0 seasoning and the garlic knots had 0 Garlic it was just bread. Even the marinara was bland. I couldnt even get french fries because they use the same fryer for everything. The employees were very nice and the place was clean but wouldn't recommend for a vegan that actually likes flavor. I feel like I wasted 58 dollars on cardboard. I was able to eat it once i put some salt garlic and peppee seasoning on it. This was unfortunately one of the only places open today (sunday) with something I could feed my kids visiting from NC so it's edible but we won't be back.
I am 66 years old and this is the most inconsistent restaurant I’ve ever frequented in my life. Get a sub one week and plenty of meat. Get the same sub the next week and you get less than half the meat you got last week. If you live around here take your chances if you want. If you’re a tourist don’t waste your vacation money here! You can go down the road gamble at the casino if you’re so inclined, I’m never going back
