The pool and hottub are great and in a beautiful greenhouse setting with a patio outside. Nice clean rooms. Excellent reception. Breakfast was exactly what they said it would be - a continental breakfast. They did have waffles that you could toast up. This was on a weekday- I do not know if breakfast is more substantial on the weekend. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Room was not very clean. Bathroom was disgusting and clogged every time someone flushed the toilet. Nothing beats checking into a hotel at 11:15 pm and asking for a plunger 7 minutes later...
Bed was ok but fire alarm at 430 am lasted a good half hour and then we could not sleep anymore. Continental breakfast compliments of Little Debbie snack cakes. Rate was decent for a room with 3 beds and the property was easy to get to but I don't think you could pay me to go back to this property.
The new owners have made major improvements to this hotel. They have resurfaced the pool and hot tub. They have laid down laminate in the rooms, repainted the rooms. I was told that new furniture and carpeting are coming as well. It's always clean and comfortable.
This is NOT 2.5 star hotel !!! It is a 1 at most.
Staff was nice. Rooms are old. Mattresses are old. Hallways are getting a coat of paint. Pool and hot-tub under repair. Breakfast was Aldi’s quality packaged and frozen waffles. No protein. They advertise hot breakfast but that is a lie.
They are very proud of their rules which are posted EVERYWHERE multiple times on copy paper hung up with scotch tape. Pool is for guest, no shoes, more about the pool, don’t steal, etc. Over board on the rule posting!!! Owner of this hotel should be embarrassed. Baymont should revoke this franchise agreement.
Stayed the night before at Baymont in Springfield MO and it was fantastic. Sullivan MO Baymont is NOT.
My advise…. Don’t pay 2.5 price for this one…you’ll be disappointed.
Positive: Location is great and the hotel pool is also nice. Looks like they are trying to do some updates. Negative: The bed frames are metal base and make nose a lot during sleep or when you get up. The room was small maybe because its a queen room. Our friends had a king and you could have put a queen bed in that room along with the king. Negative: ""
Friendly service, as staff offered accommodations. The hallways were old and in disrepair, and the lobby is bared bones.. The rooms were clean, but bed was squeaky and a bit uncomfortable. We paid a little extra for Baymont over a few other competitors, expecting a little better experience. Maybe my expectations were a little high.
Room was kind of gross, sheets were stained and the shower looked like something out of a horror movie. Place seems to be under renovation so it seems they are trying, but stained sheets are a huge no-go for me. The breakfast was also pretty bad, not even a waffle maker. Just some fruit, bread products and yogurt. The coffee machine was also broken.
Staff were very friendly, so I have to give them some positives.
the lady that checked us in was very rude. rooms were small, we were supposed to have a room with two queen beds, they were double beds at best, beds were so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. didnt even try the breakfast premade waffles not much else to choose from. would not recommend this motel to anyone, we will NOT go back to this hotel
