Beautiful view and friendly staff. Had an issue with shower drainage and wet carpeting in our room. Only hot part of breakfast was the waffles - or if you asked front desk staff for a breakfast sandwich to microwave. Hot tub also not in service.
Denny and I were scheduled to stay at the Baymont in St Ignace for 5 nights. Due to a medical emergency, I had to check out 3 days early. The staff was awesome in helping me in every way. A big shout out to Kara, Brittany, Miranda, Josh, Becca and Amy. They were so gracious and kind helping me wherever they could. I would love to come back to St Ignace and would stay at the Baymont in a heartbeat. Their kindness meant the world to me. Thank you so very very much ❤️
We enjoyed our short getaway at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Views of the lake are spectacular! We loved the fire-pits and lounge chairs overlooking the lake. Breakfast choices were ok, would of like to have more fresh fruit and protein options. Warm cookies at the front desk was a nice touch in the evening! Room was clean, but could use a good update! We didn’t use pool area, or Kayaks so can’t comment. Overall we would stay again if in the area!
The service was wonderful and extra big thank you to people who were here for the summer season only! You made my stay great! Beds were very comfortable. Rooms could stand to be updated. I think the wall air conditioner needs work - there's a musty smell that was stronger when we ran the AC. Lake view is wonderful. They charge too much to use the kayaks, so we did not...thought it was included in the stay so that was a disappointment. Not a hotel for folks with limited mobility - no elevators, stairs all over the place. Breakfast was not bad - some good items - some room for improvement. Enjoyed the location just a little bit away from the downtown area.
Quality didn’t match the price, room was dirty, showering was a lot of work. Breakfast good luck with that, had to go down the street for food.
Cons: Beds are really uncomfortable and hard. Toilets are preschooler size. Bathroom floors need replaced. Rooms in general feel damp. Beach area is riddled with goose poop, I wouldn't let my kids swim in that area. Arcade games and tables were dirty.
Pros: Free breakfast was convenient for early morning with kids. Wish there were more gluten free options. Nice view of lake. Staff and housekeeping were courteous. Pool was quiet most of the day except after dinner time.
Dog friendly! Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. No hot meal other than waffles. Coffee was good. They were out of milk Saturday morning. Great location! Clean quiet rooms. Lake front offers awesome sunrise over Mackinaw Island.
We stayed in the double queen lakeview room on the 3rd floor and loved it! There's no elevator though so if you have mobility issues or have a lot of items, you may prefer a ground floor. Mini fridge and microwave in the room.
Housekeeping was wonderful, and took care of all our needs. Breakfast had a variety of options (not too many healthy ones though, but you're on vacation so enjoy yourself!)
The pool was colder than expected so we didn't spend too much time there. The private beach was nice, but there's lots of geese poop.
They have plenty of parking and easy access to downtown St. Ignace. Would absolutely stay here again!
