Great setup and easy access, could park and walk anywhere! Lovely Covered Bridge entrance. Decorated fantastically, but it is a bit ‘old world’ and dark. Great family focused atmosphere, but is pricey. The family pics in suite felt creepy, especially since hung right over the beds. (Really push the family history everywhere) Our suite had access to adult pool area via a sliding patio door. Lock on sliding door did not latch/close, but did have a rod in the floor track. Couldn’t leave curtains open or people at tables right outside could look in. Since that was only window felt dark & claustrophobic in room. Room felt tired. Lint hanging from rough wood ceiling by vents blowing around.
Very helpful and attentive staff, and quieter than expected with construction going on.
Had to purchase the Bavarian Inn Perks Card to get a better room rate, but feels like a scam as when using it at shops the awards post so late could not use $80 earned towards lodging bill. While they say credit is good for 5 years, probably have to pay the $15 a year to keep the card so not useable as do not live around there and won’t be back.
Great place for families. You can spend a full day inside without the need to step out. Good food options, plenty of arcade games, swimming pools and water slides to keep kids busy for hours. Family owned place that has stayed with them for four generations. Great atmosphere, service is excellent. We were always greeted by a smiling face and staff eager to help. Rooms could freshen up a bit but a great location. Totally recommend and we will go back again.
Rooms were very old, outdated, beds were small and uncomfortable- however it was fairly nice, clean - great service! I love the location- loved that the pools & fun center was open until midnight- that is great especially for entertainment of the children! Lots to do, however very expensive, room rates are great right now but I expect to see them 3x higher come August as they will be huge and their new water park is scheduled to be opened.. overall great experience- I would go again! Hopefully room rates stay affordable for families like mines.
Bavarian Inn is pure nostalgia. My family and I have been going here our whole lives dating back to the 90's. I am so happy to have my son now join in on the tradition. Although the rooms are slightly outdated, they still get the job done and you will be having too much fun at the huge arcade and pools anyway!
The food is great as well. I really love the pizza they have, drinks are delicious too. You can dine in at so you don't have to leave the Inn if you don't want to. The staff was very friendly too. Right by the shops as well if you do decide to venture out. Best news is they are also expanding and going to have a whole new swim area with more water slides. Can't wait to come back another time and see the new additions.
Love the arcade and atmosphere. Great staff. Can not wait for the new park to open. The prices are what you would expect for a tourist town and the endless options of local activities are also a perk. Having a Groupon for a day pass for the pool would be a huge plus though it does add up quick for a family of 4 to enjoy the pool and snacks. Overall still a great time.
I have visited Frankenmuth many times over the years and have never stayed in the Inn until recently. The stay was very nice and the upside down Christmas tree in the lobby was very cute! I wish the bathrooms were a bit bigger. Very family friendly. My niece loved the pool. The location is perfect for tourists and the price point was not as high as I expected, surprisingly. I would stay again. The restaurant, Oma’s, that is downstairs, part of the hotel, was terrible. I was very disappointed. I wish the ice machine wasn’t on a pedestal. It made it difficult to refill a cooler, but would be cause for concern for those who have mobility restrictions. The hotel is under some construction and our room, unfortunately, faced the back parking lot and construction so the view was awful, but understandable
My family and I love the Bavarian Inn. It’s our favorite vacation spot to go to for a few days or even go for a one night getaway to refresh and relax for the whole family.
This hotel/resort is special in many ways. I adore the family fun options from the arcade, to the awesome choices of pools, to the indoor golf! They keep you entertained for hours. Even better, they expanded their arcade and have a new ice cream spot to double up on the fun! We are so excited that they’re expanding to a lazy river, more water slides, etc. How awesome.
Everyone asks where we stay when we go to Frankenmuth and we joke we are Bavarian Inn snobs and will not stay anywhere else! They have many affordable options which I appreciate!
Overall, from the above and beyond friendly and helpful staff and the feeling of home away from home to the amenities you will find everything you’re looking for at this Frankenmuth resort!
Was a good birthday experience! We spent $50 extra dollars for cookies and a dragon to come see us. It was cool, and my kids loved it, all though I wish the dragon would have interacted with my kids! He just stood there a waved in the hallway 50 some dollar you would think you'd get a little personal moment but no just quick friendly interaction! The room service food reminded me of hospital food to be quite honest... even though they are supposed to be famous for their chicken. The rooms were nice, and the pool areas were nice, but the game room half of the games weren't working or were taking money off, but not working. i quickly realized the scam. Overall, it was a good experience. it just needs some tending to or maybe some managers stepping up a little!
