Excellent dinner. I had the appetizer sampler. Delicious. And for the main course, I chose the short Ribs. I was so surprised at how tender the beef was. It will melt in your mouth. The portions of everything served were very large so there is no way that you will leave hungry. This was a wonderful dining experience. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. I recommend this bistro very highly.
Always nice to try out new places, saw this on the map and decided to give it a try. Nice to have restaurants have both and inside and outside dining area. Place was pretty busy when we got there but we were waiting on very quickly. Since it was in the afternoon on Labor Day they're out of quite a few things, I was able to get there bang bang shrimp tacos. They were extremely delicious, spicy but tolerable, with excellent flavor. Got an appetizer fried mushrooms which were outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant
Steak tips were scorched and hard, I couldn't chew them, so gave to my dog. Sweet potato fries had some rotten parts on fries. I know it's a long trip but risotto was not creamy but very sticky like macaroni and cheese, clumpy. Green beans were ok. What cook puts out food like that? Lucky I had a discount. I will not order again. ????
Byte is under new management, we decided to give it a second chance. Our first experience was just ok. They offer a full bar, with a varied menu, some apps, tacos, burgers, and some entrees. Wished my steak wasn't sitting on a pool of sauce, maybe offer it on the side instead? It reminded me of french onion soup which I'm not a big fan of personally. However my side of mac and cheese was pretty stellar though. Good gouda cheese, bacon, and scallions. Also kinda wished they provided calorie counts on their menu. Service was excellent. We never went without anything if we needed it. Would probably go back sometime, but there are multiple nice places really close by I would choose first.
Great wings, amazing/unique sauce ideas that blend extremely well. The atmosphere is really chill and has a rustic modern feel. Service is fast and charming. Prices are on the higher side but worth every penny.
Food great, service not so great. I would have liked to have given this place 4 stars but the service was slow and we had to get up twice to find our waitress. My water wasn't refilled, I had to ask several times.
The food was great! I ordered the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries; both were tasty and I would go back as I know waitresses have off days.
We sat outside and it was a great atmosphere watching the people and enjoying the beautiful FL winter weather.
Tragic example of togo food gone wrong. Mac Daddy burger came with no bacon or sauce, not to mention the Mac & Cheese wasn’t panko crusted. Risotto & steak had no mushrooms. When a menu states it should have an ingredient follow through. Do better Byte’s. Have some integrity in the food you’re preparing and delivering to customers who are paying ridiculous prices for low quality food.
This is a great little venue downtown Deland. The second story is used for private parties. I got the chance to work a 30th Birthday party with my inflatable photobooth it was hit. The place dressed up real well for the roaring 20s theme. It was super cozy, friendly and fun. If you live in Deland and need a venue for a quaint party I would highly suggest this spot.
