This place hit me by surprise. Before walking it I had no idea that this place is very popular. There was a small line ahead of me but it cleared shortly. All the staff were friendly and sweet. The food I got was some of the best breakfast in a while. The potato hash was crispy outside and moist inside. Pancakes were amazing but they get soaked with maple syrup easily so go easy with maple syrup. This store had throwback vibes which I loved.
It was my first time trying it out. I was invited by a friend and breakfast was good, the only down side is the seating is very limited and not fat body friendly. They have a counter bar and a few tables but the tables are so close together that I couldn't back the chair enough because it was hitting the person in back of me in the other table. Other than that I liked it very much. Definitely going to try it again but wait until a table is empty behind me.
My favorite breakfast burritos in East LA! And ask for their homemade salsa. I've been ordering from them for years. It's usually pretty busy, so I usually just place a to-go order. The staff is always very friendly. The service is quick. Everyone is always hustling. This is a neighborhood gem.
Been coming here since about 2000 favorite place to come while pregnant in 2008. It WAS a hidden gem, we went recently,hadn't been here in a few years, and it's obvious hipsters have found it, back in the day it was it was the usual crowd,& usuals. Regardless glad to see they have the same menu, but prices have significantly gone up, I got my usual this morning, burger steak W/home fries,and medium over easy eggs and the coffee is the best! I've tried other things before, but this day I went back to get my usual and it was so good!
This place is the definition of a hole in the wall, which has mainly bar sitting and about 4 actual tables that sit 4 people each comfortably. LET ME TELL YOU. This is a hot spot for breakfast, so if you don't mind waiting about 30 minutes to sit, I highly recommend this spot if you like typical breakfast. They ladies' cooking get down in the kitchen and are great at what they do. My go-to is the burger party, which comes with a side of hashbrown and 2 eggs of your choice. I love to add a side of pancakes that comes in a 2 stack. Check this place out. You will not regret it. In my opinion, this is a breakfast joint, not so much of a sandwich spot if that is what you are into. Or order take out if you do not feel like waiting. Again, I had to wait about 40 min to pick up my order, but we'll be worth it
Love this place! have eaten there my whole life . Food is great, prices are affordable. I have never experienced any type of rude hospitality. if you were treated badly maybe that’s on you. Yes space is limited but it’s comfortable when seated.
I can't believe I've barely found this place for as long as it's been around. Good food, great service, and reasonably priced. Also clean and the best home made salsa I've had in a while.
