Best WLM Reviews
Came in from Cleveland and found Barry Dyngles. The service and servers were incredible. This is some of the best BBQ I've ever had, the flavor, sauces, and tenderness of the meats were perfect. I got the Rib and BBQ chicken platter. Even the dessert is amazing I got the season lemon and blueberry cheesecake.
I can't express how much this place deserves a 5/5 star rating. I will be telling all my friends about this place and I hope to come back soon.
During a work-related journey, we chose to dine at this highly-rated establishment, intrigued by its numerous reviews and solid star rating.
Upon arrival, we initially found no one at the front to greet or seat us. After a brief wait, someone did appear to assist us with seating.
For our meal, we opted for the 'pick 4 smoked meats' selection, choosing brisket, turkey, pulled pork, and a half rack of ribs. The food was adequately prepared, though lacking in robust seasoning and the anticipated smoked flavor, particularly in the barbecue and meats.
The brisket, while slightly overcooked, was commendably tender. However, the pulled pork was notably bland. In contrast, the turkey stood out for its deliciousness; it had a subtle smoky taste and was exceptionally tender, making it the highlight of our meal.
As for the sides, the chicken chili was unusually thick, resembling refried beans in texture. The Brussels sprouts, served as an appetizer, were well-cooked but overly infused with vinegar.
Overall, while the visit was a pleasant one-time experience, it's unlikely we would return. Our expectations, particularly given the price, included more flavorful and better-seasoned dishes.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. I got the Sunday smokehouse with salad and greens. Best greens I have ever had, all the meats were delicious and tender. My wife got the lamb chops, best lamb chops we have ever tasted, period. I am ashamed that this was our 1st time here since they have been here for 17 years.
The BBQ sauce was good. The server asked how the burger was to be cooked, but why? It was a preformed meat patty. The brisket had little flavor and a huge amount of fat. The cheese potato and mac n cheese were good.
I wouldn't recommend this place.
They weren't super busy but the wait time for our food was long. The server was lacking as well.
The food was excellent as was our server Syd! Best BBQ around. So glad we went there for dinner. The applewood smoked pork belly with apple compote was to die for. I had the pulled pork dinner and it was so tender. My husband had the ribs combo and they were so tender and a really nice flavor. I had to have the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat ???? and yes I forgot to snap a pic of his ribs
The food was good, with the exception of the sides. Baked beans look like they sat for quite some time and tasted as such. The cheese potatoes are just hash browns with cheese.
The servers were kind and did switch out my cheese potatoes for fries, which I am thankful for.
The place echoes way too much and the projector on the wall is a bit distracting in comparison to the tvs playing. Just doesn’t go together.
It’s been over 10 years since I’ve been in the doors, and although it has been upgraded a bit; the booths are the same- but are bordered with unfinished wood and the light fixtures; although modern and rowed out with uniform lighting; is thrown off by light fixtures being different per each row. They just don’t go with one another. If the idea was to incorporate different styles; they should segregate the rowing to add ambience, because together it is confusing and comes off like each row was purchased at different times. A bit tacky- sectioning off truly would help tremendously, and would help with the echoing as well- so maybe look in to that?
So summation: too pricey(simply because the sides are strange- I’d never charge those prices for cheese potatoes(I make these at home but they’re called trash potatoes, btw) good MAIN DISH food, great wait staff, poor atmosphere.
Projector is behind my guys head… so corny, lol
We had a group of ten and the place was PACKED. Only took 30 minutes to get a table for our group and the food was exceptional. They make some fine barbecue!
My service was very nice and the food was so good. And their BBQ is so delicious and for me that says a lot bc I HATE bbq but I decided to try it anyway bc why not and I could stop. Perfection!!!
